I cannot recommend Waterleaf more! I’ve just started my 5th week of the 6 month program and the changes I’ve had both mentally and physically I never thought were possible. After having a subtotal colectomy from colon cancer at 40 and a full hysterectomy at 44 everything about my body was not normal. I had been to many different medical specialists, which all had their reasons for my ailments and were willing to throw all kinds of medications my way. I'm so glad I went to Water leaf Naturopathic. All the doctors were easy to talk to and work with. The Probiotics they had me taking helped with my constipation. They helped me realize that I just needed some personal 1 on 1 help. I wish I had the money to do the longer plan with them. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for the amazing people at Waterleaf. After being on the pill for 8 years I decided to stop taking it so my husband and I could get pregnant. After almost 8 months of no periods I knew I needed help balancing my hormones. I came to Waterleaf via a search for a naturopathic doctor in Asheville because of my previous awesome experience with a Bastyr educated ND in Seattle, and my extremely disappointing experiences with mainstream doctors and the US health care system in general. My experience with Dr. Meyers and Dr. Caldwell is three months in - and I can't recommend working with them enough. When I met Dr. Meyers, in March of this year, I was experiencing major burnout + anxiety + depression. Waterleaf was a last resort for me when I was struggling with weight loss and inability to conceive. Dr. Meyers and Dr. Caldwell were both extremely helpful and supportive for both my physical and mental health, ending in both my ability to lose weight! I had such a wonderful experience working with Dr. Meyers and her team. I sought her out after years of low grade inflammation and the myriad symptoms that went along with that, from rosacea to mysterious rashes and intermittent joint pain. After working with her I'm happy to say that these symptoms have drastically subsided, as she helped me identify dietary allergens that were having a big impact. I also really appreciated the way Dr. Meyers blended mental and physical health in her treatment plan. She introduced me to mantra-based meditation which has been much more effective for me as a form of stress relief compared to other methods of meditation that I've tried independently. This experience in general has also just helped me feel less afraid of my body and more empowered in my ability to listen to what it is telling me and act accordingly. Read more >

Physically I was basically unfunctional when I called Dr. Meyers asking for an appointment. I was experiencing severe muscle cramping across my chest, down both sides of my back, up my neck and in my left buttix making it hard to lift, turn my head, or walk. I could feel areas in each of these places that felt hot and inflamed. I needed help finding the cause instead of just treating symptoms. I had been on Celebrex for approximately 6 years and had upped the dose once and wasn't willing to do it again. I stopped taking Celebrex shortly before I reached out to Dr. Meyers.
