Vets on the Hudson

I had such a pleasure here. The vets really show care for the pets’ well being! Not only was the service great, but their timeliness was awesome too. They were also friendly to inform me about insurance plans.

The service here is top notch!! The receptionists are so friendly and helpful, the nurses are extremely attentive and Dr. Gjokaj is amazing!! We brought our dog for an emergency surgery, and she took care of our baby with so much love and care. I have never been to a vet that cares this much about their patients! I appreciate the entire staff at this location. You guys helped saved my baby. Thank you!

Vets on the Hudson are super professional. They are gentle and treat my two cats as if they are their own pets. The facilities are clean and the entire staff is incredibly warm and caring. They answer all of my questions and I ask a lot of them! I cannot recommend them more highly. We are lucky to have them in our neighborhood.

I highly recommend Dr. Gjokaj and her amazing staff. I have a dog that is very fearful at the vet and they examined her in a "fear free" manner. Extra kudos to Jennifer (one of the vet techs) and her spray cheese. She made the blood draw a non-event for my dog.

Additionally, they have excellent communication and care about the health your pet.

Vets on the Hudson is everything and more than you would expect for your pets. We were looking for a vet that was close to our home and we hit a home run when we chose Vets on the Hudson. Dr Gjokaj is amazing! She is compassionate and very knowledgeable. From the moment she enters the room her attention is undivided. She took the time to explain everything she was doing to examine our new puppy and explain how to care for him. He had several issues and her staff worked closely to instruct me on how to care for his needs. The office is immaculate! It is easy to book an appointment and the staff is friendly and professional. I would give them a 10 star review if it were possible. You won’t be disappointed if you chose Vets on the Hudson. Our Archie🐶 is in good hands!

It is such a wonderful experience at Vets on the Hudson! I just received a rescue puppy and they treated the puppy like it was a gift from heaven! Just cannot say enough great things about the doctor! She was amazing!

Our Cat Paulie had bladder stones. Dr. Gjokaj and the whole team were so caring and supportive throughout the whole process. It was a difficult time for us ,as we had just moved to NJ . We know now that Vets on The Hudson is the most trusted Clinic in our Area, they made us feel at home and they helped us from A to Z . We were well informed about everything that was going on. They even helped us find the best hospital for our cats inpatient care. The inpatient hospital told us that they had never received a patient that was so well taken care of before showing up to rehab. I am so pleased with the service and the entire staff here at Vets on the Hudson. The first call I made, spoke to Leila, she was so kind and helpful, right away I felt good about trying this vet. I had been looking for a good place for my 3 year old cat Charlie because my past experience with other vets for my older cats was nothing compared to this place. I met Leila and Mercedes in person at the front desk. They were welcoming and helpful. Charlie was seen right away. Viviana and Dr Gjokaj were so great, compassionate and just genuine. Charlie was there for a wellness checkup and they listened and answered all my questions and were so good with her and very caring. They even explained every procedure and the bill carefully. I've never had a vet office take that time to explain that and let me decide what I wanted for my cat. I finally found an amazing vet with a wonderful staff....

I took in my rescue kitten for his first vet visit at Vets on Hudson. I found that Dr. G and the front desk staff were caring and compassionate. I appreciate how they followed up to see how my kitten was doing just to make sure things were okay. Also, I love how they were able to answer my follow up questions through text which was very convenient. We look forward to our follow up visit!

I have been using Vets in the Hudson for my dog and my cat for just over a year now. I switched over from a popular vet in the southeastern Bergen County (fort Lee Cliffside Park Fairview) area.
When my dog was very sick on a rainy Sunday, the associate rudely and callously told me to take her to Hoboken. Enter Google search and up appeared vets on the Hudson. From the initial conversation the care and concern over the phone was enough for me to want to visit them. They found an appointment within 2 hours so they saw my dog. Since then I've had nothing but great experiences by a professional, courteous, and friendly staff. Dr. Gjokaj is phenomenal. She's extremely knowledgeable, shows a lot of compassion and concern and I don't see myself ever having to go elsewhere to find the perfect vet for my fur babies. Vets on the Hudson have provided amazing care for our 10 yr old cat Ash after a near fatal injury. 2 weeks before Christmas he suffered a serious impact injury to the right side of his face. His eye was damaged, his jaw was broken and he had an infection, as it took over a day for me to find and capture him after his injury. I called the local Edgewater and Ft Lee vets, it was 3pm on a weekday, and no one could see him, they said they were all booked up, even though one of those vets was our regular one. All recommended going to an emergency vet in Paramus or Hoboken.

I tried Vets on the Hudson and they said come in immediately. Dr. Gjokaj and her staff took amazing care of Ash and their follow up over the next month and a half has been outstanding. Vets on the Hudson has been absolutely amazing. They took our cat Muffie in immediately as she was having an emergency and were so absolutely thorough with her. They also helped wrangle our other cat Ash who gets a little wild when brought to the vet lol. So glad to finally find a reliable and local vet.

Dr. Melda Gjokaj is Absolutely The BEST doctor and her Team is pretty AMAZING TOO!! Love them and so does my Lily! She doesn't feel nervous to come here. They have so much love for all the animals here... it's a wonderful environment and I would definitely recommend Vets on the Hudson for all your furry pets!!

I had the absolute best experience at Vets On the Hudson this week with my Pitt who has been showing signs of knee pain, and they determined he needs CCL surgery . He had a full exam by the staff and Dr. Gjokaj. They were very courteous and clearly love what they do there. They took their time and made my anxious dog very relaxed along with his dog parents (us). I felt they answered a lot of unanswered questions for our dog that day to figure out next steps. Also want to mention the exam room I was in was very clean, which is a huge plus! Highly recommend!!!

We absolutely love Vets on the Hudson! The staff is so sweet and informative. The office and exam room are spotless. We have a 5 month old puppy and they have given her amazing care!!

First of all, the facility is clean and beautiful! They are able to do x-rays, ultrasounds, labs on site and have an internal medicine doctor available. There is ample free parking in front of the hospital. Also an easy appointment booking system on their website, which I appreciate! Secondly, Dr. Gjokaj and her team, especially her assistants Viviana and Grace who have attended to my beloved cat and dog, are amazing. You can tell they not only care deeply for their patients, but are also adept clinically. Everyone here (the office assistants, vet techs, and Dr. Gjokaj) are amazing and reached beyond my expectations! They answer any and all of my questions thoroughly and compassionately, and trust that I can be a little obsessive over my cats' health, they've never made me feel bad about it!

Dr. Gjokaj explains your pets treatment plan for that appointment and any future appointments (since I have a kitten, this has been very helpful). They also show you an itemized bill before they charge you or do anything to your pet, and explain each charge thoroughly (a really positive experience I hadn't had with my previous vet).
