TOP DOG TRAINING ACADEMY

We reached out to Top Dog Training Academy out of pure desperation. We thought our American Bulldog was going to have to be put down due to aggression issues. Top Dog evaluated and assured us that she wasn’t aggressive, rather than prey driven and lacked confidence. Our pup spent 3 weeks with our trainer and we were given updates regularly and were astonished at her transformation! We were given the tools in order to carry out her training at home. We highly recommend them!!

Ashlyn and Amanda were amazing! I am so happy with the results of the 7 day program. They did a great job reinforcing Dixie’s basics and helped her master some new commands!! Most importantly, Ashlyn and Amanda gave me the tools and confidence I need to help Dixie continue to live her best life!!

I would highly recommend Mike and Top Dog Training Academy! We are so impressed with Natty Hart’s skills! It’s almost unbelievable to see she how she was totally wild, knocking over everyone and everything in her path, and now she is listening and RESPONDING to her name and SEVERAL commands. She finally just lays down and chills! I know we have always to go but she is doing so awesome and all the thanks to Mike! ITS LIKE I HAVE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT DOG IN THE SAME BODY. I just can’t thank Mike enough for going above and beyond for us. We can now enjoy our dog and we are so excited for our future!!!!

Ashlyn took my 8-month old reactive German Shepherd/Malinois rescue for a two week board and train. She came back a different dog! She has not only learned to sit by the door and wait for me to let her out, as opposed to bolting out the door, but she has significantly improved on her walks. I can tell the amount of work spent with my pup. She no longer pulls on the leash but walks by my heel VERY nicely. She still wants to chase the squirrels, so we will continue reinforcing the training with her. She learned “down,” “come” and the “place” commands as well and she nails the “place” command every time! I will continue growing her confidence as taught and maintaining her training. I just wish my other dog was trained as well! I really appreciate all the work put into her training by Ashlyn and company! Chloe trained our husky, Storm, for both puppy and off-leash training. She was amazing!!! She went out of way to ensure our puppy received top quality training during this pandemic. She gave consistent and daily updates of her progress; tips for us to use between trainings. Any questions we had/have she's quick to respond. Chloe made us feel apart of the family and will always be apart of ours. She loves our husky as her own.

We just got our Willow back from Top Dog Training Academy after 3 weeks of their training and we couldn't be ANY happier. They made her SO confident in herself and we can already tell a difference in her behavior. Thanks to Mike for everything he did, our girl will now enjoy the life she deserves!!

Ashlyn did a beautiful job with our cairn terrier puppy. She was very high energy and demanding but came home after training with manners and much better behavior, even though she is still a very happy girl!

Tyler was amazing with our baby girl Zoey. You can tell how much he loved her when we met up to get Zoey and when he sent videos. I loved getting pictures and videos of her progress for the 2 weeks also. I am so glad I found Top Dog. Thank you Tyler for caring for Zoey like she was family. We will definitely be using you for more board and train in the future.

I am so pleased with the services Top Dog Training Academy offers. My puppy went to stay with the trainer (Ashlynn) for one week. She came home having learned so many valuable commands. While she was there I got daily updates on her progress and extra updates whenever I requested. The skill set and knowledge of the trainers is quite impressive. I would definitely recommend.

Our first encounter with Ashlyn was 6 months ago when we handed over our 2 Dane puppy’s and our butthead pug for Top Dogs 2 week “board and train.” They all 3 returned to us different dogs. They had all of their basic commands perfected and we could tell they were communicating with us so much better. The dogs wanted to learn and succeed!

Over the next few months, after their “board and train,” our Pug started exhibiting some aggressive behavior towards the danes as they continued to get even larger and their puberty kicked in. This led to a few “altercations” and finally escalated into a full blown dog fight. We, dogs included, were left shaken and scared. One text to Ashlyn and she immediately reassured me. We just got our boy Meaux back from TOP DOG TRAINING ACADEMY today! Our trainer Ashlyn did a freaking awesome job. He is only 6 months old but she has him listening to his commands to a tee. I can’t say enough about how awesome of a job Ashlyn has done and how much my my boy Meaux loves her training skills. It’s like a little boy who went off to a super fun summer camp for a couple weeks. Meaux couldn’t wait to show off his skills when he got back home. Where do I start?! From the time I contacted Top Dog they have been great. Answered every question and gave me reassurance. I had been looking at several Board N Train options but choose them based on their training methods, the time they took with me, and that they keep the dogs in the trainers home. Mike came to my house to pick Krewe up, took his time for Krewe to get to know him before getting on the road then sent me an update later that evening to let me know how she was doing. He was honest about how she was doing (not eating much for a couple days) which he reassured me was completely normal (and when she came back to me she was not thin at all). He brushed her so her doodle coat wouldn’t get matted. He sent daily updates with pictures and videos. He spent 2 hours with me when she got home (to train momma) then came back out a couple weeks later when I needed more training...

Michael and I are so happy that we found Top Dog! When our Newfie/Doodle, Jet got to be about 4 months old, he grew quite the handful! We knew we were going to need help.
Jet spent two weeks with Mike and Oh My Goodness, he came back a different dog. He is still the same happy, playful and goofy guy, but he actually has good manners now. Mike worked wonders with Jet. I received pictures and videos of Jet's progress along the way and it was evident that he was being treated very well and enjoying himself as he learned.
When Jet returned from his two weeks of training, Mike spent quite a bit of time going over the training methods that he uses so that we can continue to follow in his lead and reinforce the lessons that Jet had learned.

I just got my two dogs home from the 3 week course with trainer Chloe and they are doing amazing! I met up and worked with her for over an hour until I felt comfortable with the commands. I am so excited to have them home with their new attitudes and skills!

My pit mix pup (about a year and a half old), Kiwi, was put through the two week board and train. I chose Tyler as my trainer and he was AMAZING. Tyler sent me constant updates including videos and photos. The only “bad” thing I could say is that he didn’t call his updates, “pupdates” but he said he’s changing that 😁. At the turnover, Tyler was very helpful in explaining how to use the e-collar and how each command worked. I have been nothing but pleased with how Kiwi took to her commands and her overall behavior since she’s come back home. I would recommend this academy and Tyler to anyone** looking for a good investment into making there already great pup into an amazing one. Thanks for all your hard work!!

They say it takes a village.. but when it comes to your fur baby all it takes is top dog training academy! Our GSD Belle had past trauma that effected her ability to be around other dogs and made her extremely over protective. Now we have a confident girl who takes our lead when it comes to following commands and can now peacefully be around other dogs. Tyler was our trainer and now feels like a member of our pack. His love and dedication for dogs and our Belle made all the difference. He truly cares for your pup as if it were his own! No matter your or yours dogs specific and unique needs, Top Dog is the right call to make without a doubt. Ashlyn has been and continues to be AMAZING. Rudy, our maltipoo, came back from 2 week board and train a much calmer dog, no nipping and such a pleasure to leash walk ! Glad to also have Ashlyn as our go to dog sitter when needed. She loves our dog, loves her job and is now our friend !

We sent our one year old golden doodle to the three week board and train program. He used to pull horribly on walks and now he walks with ease, never barking or lunging at other people or dogs. He no longer runs out of the front door when it’s open. He knows sit, down, place and a few other helpful commands. It’s definitely easier to communicate with our dog now.

More importantly, the trainer (Tyler) treated our dog as if he were his own. He brushed him daily, took pictures, videos and made us feel like our fur baby was in the best of hands. To be honest, when our dog returned home, he went through the separation blues. He really loves Tyler and I can’t wait for them to be reunited for a follow up session!

Mike was absolutely the best for my Max. Going in I didn’t know what to expect. I gave him a wild but a the sweetest 8 month boxer. I worried everyday that I would lose some of his personality. Max loved to snuggle and he gave the biggest kisses but he didn’t want to listen. He was puppy and a stubborn boxer. This experience was great. Not only does Max understand that their are rules, his personality has changed. Highly recommend
