We are so impressed with the work done by Top Dog Training Academy! My corgi, Gatsby, has a strong personality and thinks he runs the house. Top Dog has taught him that while he may own all our hearts, he still has to do as he’s told. His training was great brainwork for him, which has made him much happier. I feel so much better about his safety now; if I drop his leash, he won’t bolt like he used to! He stays in a wonderful heel and listens to commands. I couldn’t be happier with Top Dog; they took such great care of him, sent plenty of updates, and made sure to focus on his specific needs. Shortly after his training, we took him on a road trip with lots of hotels, hikes, and even tubing! He did great. When I brought my puppy to training she was completely out of control (even for puppy standards). She wouldn’t listen, would run away when called and couldn’t settle down no matter how much play time she had. She chewed everything in sight, refused to walk on a leash and I truly thought she was untrainable until we brought her to top dog training academy. I was nervous to leave her for two weeks but Cherrie, the staff and trainers were incredible and took such good care of her. When we picked her up she was a completely different puppy! She listens to commands and is so much safer because she comes when she is called and overall a much calmer and happier puppy. Top Dog Training was the best thing for our family!! we like to joke and say that our Rambo left a boy and came back a man but honestly it’s 100% true! we couldn’t have him in the house around the baby because he was just so hyper and wouldn’t listen to anything. He was an outside dog before training. Top dog for us was WONDERFUL!!! We now have our boy in the house and around the baby! They are great with the dogs and treat them like family just like if they were at home with you. Tyler was an amazing trainer for our Goldendoodle, Chevy. He worked on basic obedience training and leash training ad did an amazing job. Professional systematic dog training. Mike and His Wife who own the company made the entire process of board training pretty simple and straightforward. It 100% helped my new pup. Our child who suffers from anxiety was given a puppy as a gift. The puppy had several behavioral issues that were worsening by the day. We had tried teaching basics and we stayed consistent to no avail. We reached out to Top Dog and scheduled 3 week board and train with Erin. Erin kept us informed of everything that was going on and sent lots of updates. Erin and the owners were all very honest and upfront with their assessment of our puppy’s behavioral issues. Our dog Junior wanted to attack everyone he came in contact with, and has gotten into numerous fights with one of our other dogs. We felt like Junior was a lawsuit waiting to happen. When we met Mike at his facility, Junior wanted to attack him. We were amazed at the way Mike immediately took control of the situation. It was at that very moment we knew Junior was in great hands. Top Dog fulfilled their promise to transition my 6 month puppy from a dog that was distracted and pulling on leash, barked at neighbors and dogs, and while great at home she was difficult to bring out in public. Shelby sent updates almost daily to see my puppy's progress and was available to answer all of my questions over 3 weeks. My puppy returned as sweet and loving as ever but now is easy to walk and leave alone without worry. I am very happy with my experience with Top Dog Training Academy. My dog, although small, was very aggressive especially toward men. I was truly frightened of him biting someone if I had to do a hurricane evacuation etc. Mike at Top Dog was wonderful. I received pictures and videos for the 4 weeks he was gone with his progress. Anytime I reached out, I was assured and answered. When I went to pick him up at the end of the 4 weeks, I saw the incredible relationship my dog had with Mike. That truly impressed me. I would recommend Mike amd his trainers to anyone that has a dog. He is the "dog whisperer". Whiskey, our 80 pound German Shepard doesn't take to new people very well at all amd being a Covid puppy and not having been socialized, really was not social. However, He became best buds with Mike within minutes of meeting him. Whiskey started listening to him instantly.After meeting Mike, I was at ease with leaving my baby boy, Whiskey in his very capable hands. After training, Whiskey is a much more confidant and calm dog. He listens and obeys better as well. I recommend Mike to anyone who asks me about Whiskey's training because I am so pleased with his results. They not only train your dog they care for them as if they were their own. Erin was absolutely amazing. She updated me daily and showed her progress through video. I really felt like she treated Roux like her own.
