TOP DOG TRAINING ACADEMY

Our boy needed some home manners and after looking at several different trainers we decided to go with TopDog. We are beyond grateful and so happy with the training our doberman received. He is such a well mannered and behaved puppy now!

Cherrie and everyone at Top Dog was helpful, friendly, responsive, and--most importantly--great at their jobs. My husband and I sent Sophie (6mo chocolate lab puppy with more good intentions than boundaries) to stay with Cherrie for a week and she came back so much better behaved!

Cherrie and the contract were very clear: the program will train your dog to obey them, not us the owners. However, with Cherrie's hands-on owner training and availability to answer questions and provide further guidance, my husband and I learned the ropes quickly.

When Sophie gets a little older, we are absolutely going to send her to stay with Aunt Cherrie again to continue refining manners and behavior. She will always be Sophie, but Cherrie is talented at training her to be the best Sophie she can be.

Having rescued Great Danes for 20 years, my wife and I found ourselves in unfamiliar territory with our latest rescue, Moose. Moose was our 7th and youngest rescue, 14 months old, and also our most aggressive Great Dane. Because of an incident with a grandchild, which involved a growl and a scratch, we did not know where to turn and by some miracle, stumbled upon Top Dog of New Orleans. Cherrie, the owner of Top Dog, was so sympathetic to our predicament and extremely communicative throughout the process. We had never given up on any of our rescues and Cherrie was determined to bring out the gentle giant in Moose. After nearly a month of intensive behavior modification, and as of today, January 1, 2026, almost 3 months since Moose graduated from Top Dog Training Academy, we are pleased and thankful to announce that Moose has become the gentle giant we all knew was deep down inside....

Top Dog is an excellent business. Luca still knows all his commands. And Lainey (Golden Doodle) is... well... we'll be sending her back in the near future 🤣

Miss cherrie is hands down one of the best trainers out there. Our vega came back a completely different dog in all the best ways. We have a baby on the way and was so nervous prior to this of having a big dog like Vega and a new baby. We are a lot less worried now, and we don’t have to worry about her jumping on my wife’s belly any more either. I do all the exercises miss cherrie did with her and she still does them I rarely have to use the e collar. Anyway thanks again we will always sing her praise.

Want to sing miss cherries praises where ever we can. She helped our big great dame become the family dog we always wanted her to be and knew she could be. We are more pleased then we could have ever thought of on the ride to pick our Vega up. I promise. You will be left mind blown as well with your dog. Thanks again!

Max came back a much calmer dog

Sherrie was very knowledgeable & intuitive to Koda’s needs. She told me how to handle commands when calling Koda. She also came back house trained. We have a schedule for eating & house training. Thank you Sherrie!

The trainer was patient, knowledgeable, and truly cared about helping my dogs succeed. I’m so pleased with the progress my Cane Corsos have made. They still have their fun, playful personalities, but now they’re much more disciplined and well-behaved.

Cherrie did an outstanding job with our Golden Retriever, Nola. In just two weeks, she taught her so much and helped correct several challenging behaviors. Nola had a bad habit of jumping on people whenever she saw them, but thanks to Cherrie’s training, she no longer does that. She’s still a work in progress, and we continue to work with her daily, but we would have never reached this level without “Auntie Cherrie’s” help. We highly recommend Top Dog Training to anyone looking for professional and effective dog training.

It was great! Sherrie was caring, knowledgable, & very accommodating. She seemed intuitive to Koda’s needs & applied a different tactic to train her. He received the discipline TLC that Koda needed. I can’t thank her enough & thetrainers that worked

Top Dog was absolutely fabulous. I sent my 2yr old lab. Every picture they sent she was smiling. They really care about the animals they train. It was a wonderful experience. The communication was great and easy flowing.

My Doberman Royal loved the training! He’s so much more obedient now. Ms. Cherie is super sweet and still checks in to give advice. Highly recommend!

Top Dog was abel to train my English bulldog to become a service dog companion. I couldn’t be more thrilled of the results, now it’s up to me to keep it up with her .
