The Kids Connection

We have been at Kids Connection for about a year and have been very happy with the care our kids have received! The owner and director are well versed and knowledgable in child development and continually training staff on best practices in working with children. The staff sincerely cares for the children. Our 2 year old has had a difficult time with separation anxiety, but the staff and teachers are patient and encouraging with us and him in working through this. They are responsive to concerns and provide updates as much as we need. Finding childcare is hard and stressful, but it helps to know they are in an environment where they are learning, growing, and cared for. Read more >

This is long overdue since our daughter is 12 now, but better late than never. We were looking for child care we could afford and everywhere we looked we just could not shake concerns and hesitation about the facilities and staff we encountered. Someone then recommended Kid's Connection to us. Once we visited, all of our doubts were put at ease. They were wonderful and took amazing care of our daughter for a few years. Kid's Connection has been the best decision for daycare. Our child is extremely shy and we started looking into daycare options at the age of 2 which was very tricky. It was also in the middle of this pandemic and the lack of social interaction had only made the shyness worse. We were so nervous about taking this big step and looked around at several places but Tami and the brand new facilities, the cleaning measures, curriculum, and staff made us feel at ease within minutes of our tour. Our child has flourished and done so well here. At home we talk all about about the teachers, activities, and friends and it's been such a relief to know we have loving, attentive, competent care. We have been to 4 different daycares with no success. We decided to try these guys out and it has been an amazing experience. I have an autistic son who went from screaming every morning to walking right up to staff. They genuinely care about the parents and the kids and do whatever they can to work with you. The Kids Connection is my peace of mind 5 days a week. When I go to work, I know my daughter is cared for. She is nurtured. She is thriving, learning, and surrounded by incredible staff. My career is incredibly important to me but it doesn’t mean anything without the peace of mind I get 5 days a week when I take my daughter to The Kids Connection. She loves her class. She loves her teacher and I am SO HAPPY that a good friend referred me to this incredible daycare 3 years ago. My Daughter started with kids connection since she’s was a month... She’s now going on 4 months, and so far my daughter teacher gives me a daily report, and I just love to read those everyday to see how my baby girl is doing.. Jen, the assistant director and even Becca the director are amazing administrators for the company! The teachers helping in the 2/3yo class are fabulous and my daughter really adores Raquelle the food coordinator. They definitely have the best head of security in Opie too! Can’t say enough about this team! They are kind, caring and really work hard to take care of these kiddos! They are especially great with my special needs daughter! They meet her at her levels and are doing everything they can to help encourage her in her skills and things to learn in therapy! Keep it up girls! :) Read more >

My daughters have been going here for going on 5 years now. They moved over from a daycare where there was a major criminal act against one of my daughters, so it haunted me from daycares. I checked 10+ daycares around my area including this one. I was not about to take my kids to just any daycare after my experience so I made sure I did my research. These guys have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND to make my girls comfortable. I am a single dad and I can't tell you where I would be with out these guys the past few years! My kids have been able to break out of their shell and become more comfortable in their own skin because these guys give them the confidence they need in themselves. This is such an incredible daycare! My older kids attended here for several years before I got remarried and like any daycare there were a few bumps in the road but they were always handled well. I even worked there for a couple of years too. The current director is one of the best people I have ever met and she works her behind off to ensure all of the children in her care are treated like she would treat her own kids! Finding a daycare for our kids was a huge struggle for us but after being a stay at home mom for a couple years, my wife went back to work and over the course of a few months interviewed a ton of childcare places and in-home daycares. She was looking for the perfect place that would provide care that was at least as good if not better than what they would get at home. We have a pretty difficult 4 year old and an easygoing 8 year old who have both gone here and flat out will not go anywhere else. My 4 year old, who is usually very grumpy, tells me that she only loves being at home and at daycare and the first thing she says when she wakes up is, "Is it daycare day today?!" This is by far the only acceptable daycare in the county. My girls have had the same teachers caring for them in the 2.5 years we have had them here, and never had any problems. In fact, I had to stop working and stayed home for a while and when I decided to go back to work, I kept avoiding getting another job until they had space here for both my girls because I couldn't stand the thought of taking them anywhere else. It's hard to write about this place without getting emotional. All six of my kids have attended Kids Connection; we've been with them for 11 years and counting now. These ladies (and sometimes dudes!) are the best. There is very little turnover, which is so unusual in the childcare field and speaks volumes about how well the employees are treated and how much they enjoy their jobs. KC has become like family to us. My teenagers have fond memories of their time here and love to check their younger siblings in and out because they know they'll see teachers who remember them and are excited to see them. KC was always such a positive, fun thing that I never had trouble with kids who didn't want to go to daycare--in fact it was usually the opposite; they cried if it was a non-daycare day. My children have gone here for years! They have been awesome to work with! It's always hard to leave your kids with someone else but I would have a hard time trusting anyone else to watch and educate my children when I am unable to during work hours. I have brought three of my children to The Kid's Connection over the last decade (two of which started as infants). The staff takes great care of my children. I've never had a baby with a diaper rash issue that I can attribute to negligence here. I have never felt like any of my children were in danger of abuse or any other situation which warranted concern. The staff loves them, feeds them, helps them potty train, teaches them, respects their medical needs, gives them plenty of contact, and calls me immediately if there are any problems, which is exactly what I expect a good daycare to do. They've transported my children on long field trips during the summer, and I have complete trust in them. I have been a part of this daycare for 16 years. The staff go above and beyond when it comes to teaching these little ones. I have had 2 kiddos in the school age class. The staff plans such a fun summer program where the kids do art, take field trips, do science experiments, and learn how to bake treats. It is great to have them enrolled during the summer to socialize with other kids their age and to have fun outings. I have known most of the teachers for years! They are educated, know proper procedures, and are first aid and CPR certified.
