The Goddard School of Deerfield (Northbrook)

Goddard School has so much to offer. Each day is filled with learning, play, culture, themes, and fun. The teachers and staff alike are all friendly, personable, and warm. As an educator myself, I recognize the challenge of teaching these young learners, and somehow the staff here does it everyday with a smile on their face! We are so pleased with our experience at this school and we look forward to sending our second child through in just a few months. Thank you, Goddard, for being so super awesome!

We have been very happy in our short time at Goddard Deerfield. We moved from Goddard Lincoln Park and the transition was seemless for our daughter and she has enjoyed her experience thus far.

Both my kids attended Goddard, starting when they first opened at this location, and my youngest will be graduating this summer. Over the past 5+ years we've had a wonderful, nurturing, and educational experience.

The facility itself is really clean and nice looking. The classrooms are colorful and fun for kids. There are lots of good quality toys (ex: some wooden vs all plastic) that allow for creativity and education. A nice mix of STEAM activities. In the summer they do gardening and extra outdoor time.

The teachers have been exceptional and don't seem to turnover which is a good sign that this is a good place to work also. I love that they offer additional opportunities for learning with Spanish and music. They have an indoor gym which is nice for the winter and rainy days.

This location does a good job to build community amongst the families...

The Goddard School of Deerfield Has been a warm and loving and safe place for our daughter. We are so glad that we were able to send her to school here and we have seen her grow and learn every day.

Our son has had a wonderful experience at Goddard. Engaged, caring teachers in every classroom he's been in and he's enjoyed all the activities he gets to do with his peers. Management has also been great in working with us on some unique situations in managing his day.

My experience has been excellent at the Goddard School. The teachers, directors, and owners are wonderful and do a great job. They really care about the kids and make the experience fun.

The teachers and staff are incredibly warm and engaging, the learning spaces are bright, clean, and welcoming, and the children appear genuinely happy. There is a nice balance of structure and routine which helps the children feel confident and secure. Every time I visit Goddard I walk out with a smile on my face.

These four years saw an unprecented, life-changing event- the pandemic that tested the best in each one of us for and I wish to applaud the sensitivity, nimbleness and grit of our extraordinary owners- Jane and Genia for keeping all of us safe at school. Their warmth continues to keep us all together like one large family and makes me feel special.
I am also super lucky to enjoy the empathy and support of our admin!!!

I'm delighted to share my heartfelt appreciation for Goddard Daycare, particularly for the exceptional care. My daughter has been attending this daycare for a while now, and I can confidently say it has been an absolute blessing. The owner’s dedication and nurturing approach have made all the difference.

I don't ever leave reviews because I am always on the go and just don't make the time. However, given that this involves the person that I love most in this world, I wanted to share how much we adore The Goddard School of Deerfield!

The integration of music, Spanish (I come from a Spanish background and having my son learn Spanish is SUPER important to me!), and chess into their curriculum is simply outstanding and in my eyes, sets them apart. Although they are all there to educate our children, they do this with a sprinkle of fun and enrichment, and honestly we couldn't be happier.

Having been in business myself for many years, I truly believe that in any industry there needs to be a good boss/staff relationship. Every time that I take my son to Goddard I can see what an incredibly strong relationship the directors have with their teachers. I see them go...

Our family is absolutely thrilled with The Goddard School in Deerfield! We have two little ones, ages 2 and 4, and this school has truly exceeded our expectations. The quality of the teachers is outstanding. They are both skilled educators and nurturing caregivers, and our children have really thrived.

Additionally, the front office staff is always friendly, welcoming, and ready to assist with any questions. The Goddard School activities are also unparalleled. Our kids have music class every day, are learning Spanish, and our son loves his chess lessons and talks nonstop about "King Chomper."

Finally, what stands out is that people love being there. The PTO is very active and has arranged opportunities for parents to connect and the teachers consistently say they feel lucky to work there. We couldn't be happier, and wholeheartedly recommend The...

We've been taking our two kids here for almost a year now, and we love it.

The owners, Jane and Genia, are very engaged. In addition to the normal curriculum, they are always arranging special events like a juggler, magician, petting zoo, and even a foam party. We love seeing photos and videos each day of the art, science, and music projects they do.

The front office folks are helpful, attentive, and know every child's first name. The teachers have all been excellent. I believe a big part of that, while it is a complex and difficult industry, is that they are better taken care of here than your average daycare.

Lastly, we love how diverse they are. Our children are growing up learning from teachers who have grown up all over the world. I think it's great to hear their perspectives from such a young age.

I cannot recommend this school enough. Every staff member is outstanding. Hunter, our 4.5 year old son, has gone to Goddard for almost a year and they have been INCREDIBLE. They are patient, kind, teach thoughtfully, advance skill sets, and create fun. Each day he comes home and shares something new he has learned - ranging from shapes, numbers, spelling, to languages, kindness, and sharing. He has a community there and loves going. They are AMAZING. We wish they did all the grades and he could stay!

The staff at The Goddard School are unmatched! My son has had such an amazing experience so far. The staff go above and beyond to plan thoughtful activities throughout the day. Children of all ages get time outside daily, participate in Spanish, Music, and purposeful fine motor/art activities. Goddard plans events outside of school, which is such a great way to get to know other families. I am in awe of all of the amazing learning and meaningful activities my son completes each day. Goddard creates spirit weeks and special events for families, consistently. I am so touched by the projects my son brings home. Goddard has created such a wonderful culture and community!

We couldn’t be happier with Goddard School - from the owners to the teachers and the overall program for the kids. The teachers are very patient and attentive to the kids. The owners are always available to offer advice and help answer any questions. Our son’s knowledge grows daily and we couldn’t be more proud! Music and Spanish lessons are an added bonus our son greatly enjoys!

Goddard does a great job in so many areas - compassionate and attentive teachers, diverse array of activities and programs, wonderful mix of educational methods and a top notch food program. Our LO has been going there for years and loves it!

My daughter has been attending Goddard School of Deerfield for over a year, and it has been a wonderful experience! Teachers and administrators are attentive, kind, and seem to truly enjoy working with kids. And most importantly my daughter loves coming here. I would highly recommend this daycare!

Our son was at Goddard from about 9 months old to 23 months. Goddard was wonderful; he learned so much and loved going there. The teachers were so sweet and the administrators were very responsive.

My 4 year old and 2 year old daughters attended The Goddard School of Deerfield and loved it. Every day is thoughtfully planned and full of fun activities and learning opportunities. The teachers, including the music teacher, are excellent and the facilities are brand new and well maintained. The owners and office staff are very responsive to all questions and feedback. We only left since we moved out of state otherwise we'd happily have our kids attend until kindergarten.

We had a wonderful experience with Goddard! I love how Goddard incorporates technology into their learning. The teachers are amazing and the administration is communicative and easy to work with. I also love the hot meals for breakfast and the additional enrichments during the day. Highly recommend!
