The Forge: Lemont Quarries

I recommend purchasing the ultimate adventure day pass. I spent the entire day at The Forge from 9am to 10:30pm with my 13yr. old nephew. We did it all! Paddle boats, double kayak, single kayaks, biking, laser tag, climbing the different towers and endless rides on the zip line across the quarry. If you like zip lining as much as we do the only way to ride the zip line multiple times over the quarry is to purchase the day pass. We had a great time and we will be back!
5 stars to the employees! They were all positive, helpful, friendly and encouraging. Definitely felt that safety was at the top of their list. It didn’t matter if it was the 1st time or the last time running through safety checks, all employees paid close attention to detail to ensure our gear was on and adjusted properly.
I do recommend packing a cooler and some snacks. I was surprised of the limited menu options they had to offer. Considering they have the two towers, laser tag, and water activities for younger kids they don’t have the typical kid friendly food options that you’d expect to see. I would check the menu online in advance if you plan to have a meal there.
Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, bug spray, gloves, headcovering, and a water proof lanyard for your phone.
