Stepping Stones Academy

I have been with the Stepping Stones Academy `Ohana for nearly a decade. Both of my daughters started since they were around 10 weeks old until they were ready for Kindergarten. We have become so close to the faculty and staff. They have been tremendously accommodating to our girls throughout the years. The teachers are attentive and responsive. When they were infants, both girls were very resistant to taking the bottle and the Stepping Stones staff would try so hard, sometimes 6 times a day, in every room and position they could think of, to try to get my girls to drink my hard-earned pumped milk. We love the fun activities around the holidays like trunk-or-treat, in school family activities like gingerbread house making, and the field trips they offer. Another plus for us working parents is that they have very little holidays compared to other schools. My girls participated in soccer at school for an extra cost, which was convenient. The teachers did an excellent job preparing my girls for private school testing and Kindergarten. Both of my girls were accepted to Punahou School for kindergarten, and my oldest was accepted to Kamehameha as well. In addition to academics, SSA taught our girls how to follow rules, how to interact with peers, and navigate conflict. They did a great job transitioning both girls to Kindergarten and getting them excited for it rather than being nervous. The "graduation" ceremony was so memorable and we will miss our SSA family. I highly recommend Stepping Stones for daycare/preschool!
