Stepping Stones Academy

After having my first child, I had to return to work just a few short months after his birth. I was a nervous wreck thinking of having to leave him with strangers. I am so so grateful that we found Stepping Stones Academy to help us all transition back into our work schedule!

The director, Charlotte, is wonderful and so patient and kind with the kids. We toured the infant room and saw the older classrooms in the Waipahu location and she was so welcoming. I love that the classrooms have short walls so all the teachers can always see and communicate with each other. Every time I saw a diaper being changed I saw a very sanitary clean process and it made me feel very at ease with the cleanliness and organization of the facility. I was shocked that none of the babies ever seemed to be crying, but were always happy and well adjusted to being there all day.

The teachers in the infant room (britany, Melissa, and sandy) are saints. I loved visiting with them for a few minutes every morning at drop off and getting to know who was taking care of my son. I could tell they really got to know each baby and tailored activities and care to best suit each individual child. One of my absolute favorite things about this program was their use of schoolvine. It’s an online program that is continuously updated by the teachers throughout the day. It let me check in during the day and see how much he was eating or sleeping, and they often put pictures of him up for me to see him doing activities or just to have for me to look at while I missed him! It’s such An awesome idea and it made a big difference to know how his eating or sleeping was without having to call and bug them.

Overall, I’m a very happy mom who is thankful to everyone at this location. Bring your child here without a second thought - you will be so happy you’re part of their family!
