Our house flooded last September during Tropical Cyclone 8. We were out of our house for many months during remediation, and we were required by our mortgage company to have a clean air test performed and certified before we could move back into our home. We researched a handful of companies, and decided to go with Smart Air Environmental to perform the test. I initially spoke with John Gainey and he was so very knowledgable and helpful in his explanation of what his company does to perform a clean air test and what we should expect. The first test was performed in January 2025. We received John's report which we then forwarded to our mortgage company. The report satisfied their needs and we were able to move back into our house in February 2025. Upon our return, we quickly realized that the contractor we unfortunately hired to remedy our home, left a lot of items undone, and we were very uneasy about the state of all walls, floors, etc. So, we decided to have Smart Air Environmental do another more thorough test than what our mortgage company required to ensure that our house was completely free of any hidden mold and/or toxins before we moved back in. Thankfully, Smart Air's team member Scott Ekster met with us and performed a very thorough and deeper test to confirm our air quality was safe to re-enter our house. After receiving a follow-up report from John Gainey, we felt reassured that our house was safe to move back in. Money well spent! Both men are highly knowledgable and professional at their craft. Not to mention, they are also extremely patient and kind in explaining in detail any question you as the layperson may have. They set our minds at ease from the get-go.
