I have had a terrible move-in experience. The one star is simply because the staff and all service providers have been very kind. That does not take away from the fact that I have had to badger the office/maintenance staff to get anything done. I reported urgent issues within days of moving in (no ability to change the temp in the house, no hot water in the shower, cloudy/unclean water, and a major leak in the basement) and not a single one of these issues was handled with any urgency whatsoever. I have only once received unprompted communication about these issues. Every other time I’ve heard anything was because I called and asked for follow up. For all I know, the 24 hour maintenance is a myth. I'm not sure who exactly oversees the inspection of the apartment, but I have had several issues that happened all in my first week-up until now that has happened so far. My 2nd night the toilet had flooded, and I couldn't get it to stop until maintenance came in on Saturday. I’m glad that, that issue has been resolved now. I also put in my inspection that the screen for one of my windows was not put in and it also had some damages to it that I noticed after inspecting it. I also noticed that the screen already in the window on the left side, has a small tear in it. I don't want to even have it open because I don't want my cat to bother it and have it blamed on him. I also noticed scratches in the vinyl flooring and air pockets, and I am concerned about mold from previous mopping lying in those lose floorboards. I understand that property management is a business!! What I don't understand is taking 16 applications for 1 property at $60 per applicant. People are looking for homes NOT scams!! I called this property mgt several times (per the video on YouTube) to let them know I applied. I was NOT able to speak with anyone for two days and when I was she explained I would hear something the same day, however no one ever called me. It took my calling them explaining that at this point I just need to know where I stand to continue my search, that someone said "this property has been rented" Why would you not inform people of that? Then to share that you took 16 applications?? That is greed and maybe also a blessing! For future reference please communicate you procedures with people and don't leave families in wait for a phone call that won't come!!!
