Rock Slide Engineering

After looking at many different tailgate tables for my 24 Jeep Wrangler, most of which are made overseas, I decided to buy the American made Rockslide Engineering table, it certainly does not disappoint. Heavy gauge steel, very nice powder coating, more stable table space than any other, along with extremely easy installation. Highly recommended.

I’m on my 4th Jeep JL Wrangler and my 4th set of Rock Slide Engineering step. I absolutely love these steps and they have the most amazing and responsive customer support team (never needed actual support just asked had questions on accessories and asked for stickers once which they sent) thier shipping is extremely fast, and thier quality is second to none, I’ve hit serious rock crawling trails all over Arizona and have put the whole weight of my Jeep slamming down on these steps with little more than a shallow gouge on the bottom tapers that aren’t even visible from the side(important because I also take pride in my Jeeps Ceramic coated appearance).Another thing to note is that their price have stayed relatively the same since 2020 when I first bought these. I can’t say the same other companies I love like Next Venture or MetalKloak.

I Needed some parts for and older model bumper the ridgid series and it was no longer available.The customer service rep asked me to give him a little time that he would ask around if they could locate old stock in the warehouse.A couple of weeks later i get a call parts found. I was ecstatic that i could keep my old school bumpers & complete my build on my jeep.Top notch customer service

I purchased a set of Rock Rails directly from Rock Slide Engineering. These arrived much quicker than I anticipated and were very well packaged. There was no visible damage to the packaging upon arrival. I have been installing aftermarket parts and equipment on Jeeps for many years, so I have become accustomed to having to make small modifications to items for a proper fit. I was extremely pleased that these steps did not require any modification whatsoever. They fit perfectly, and had all the hardware needed. The fit of these steps is extremely tidy and the powder coating appears to be high quality, with a nice, mild texturing that should help avoid showing scratches while remaining easy to clean. I couldn't be happier with these items!

I have a 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I had the running boards install now for almost one year. little over a week age the drivers side motor failed. the gear in it failed. I contact Rock /slide team and they didn't mess around. Had the new motor within 6 days and just had it install. love the the running boards and the team.

So far so good. While they would not originally honor pricing for a discount, they came through and did the right thing. My only concern at this point is a clanking sound when driver side is retracting but they are sending me bumpers to see if that fixes it. Other then that, happy with product so far.

I am giving this 5 stars because the design and engineering is spot on. The only issue I have is to do this properly you need two people. I was trying to do this by myself in 100° heat without a lift or air-conditioned shop. I am 65 and wrench on every one of my vehicles and motorcycles. That and the fact my pinch seam on the drivers side of the Jeep was different than the passenger side, everything went quite well. My JL is an early 2018. I already have Bushwacker rocker and door jam covers so there is no need for the rubber bump gasket. They look and work great!

I just finished installing Rock Slide Engineering powered Step Sliders and Skid Plates on my 2025 JLU Rubicon X a few minutes ago. I'm very impressed with the build quality of the steps. All the holes lined up and everything fit well. They feel solid and they look great! I was really impressed that the wiring harness is exactly the correct length. I definitely give RSE 5 stars on build quality.
I took my time installing them because I'm anal and overall, the install was easy. Now, let me explain the four star review: The installation instructions are good, but need to be updated because they are unclear in at least one spot (due to a typo) and incorrect in at least two places, so that unnecessarily added some time wasted while trying to figure out how to correctly install both the steps and the skid plates. Great product, works well. Easy install. One recommendation would be to provide a mounting template for hole drilling. This would be easier than having to hold the item in place to mark. Thanks Pat

Just got done installing the rocksliders on my Jeep Gladiator. The install took about 5 hours with 2 people. They arrived from UPS in very good shape. The packaging was very good.( they are heavy). Took about an hour to install the wiring harness. The video could be better but figured it out with no problems. laid out the harness under the Jeep to get it oriented. Why they used 2 different size bolts on the pinch weld mount does not make sense. The hardest part is getting the body mount bolts loose. They work great and are very stronge. I weigh 200 pounds and the step supports me with no proplem. I have a 3 inch lift with 34 inch tires.This makes getting in so much easier.
I would buy these again .

I purchased and installed the JK 2 Door Step Slider and am really impressed with the quality and sturdiness. Even with also installing all the accessories, it was not a super difficult experience.

Powered step sliders are very well made and the sliders offer what should be more than enough protection. The install was easy - honestly spent more time removing plastic trim in the cabin than anything. Holes all lined up and the wiring harness was easy.

I LOVE the Rock Slide tailgate table that I purchased for my 2026 Jeep Rubicon! It’s the first accessory I bought and the fit is perfect. It was incredibly easy to install and will compliment the rest of my camping gear. Can’t wait to use it on my next camping trip. Excellent product!

The step sliders for my 2024 Rubicon are impressive, they look great and function very well. The installation video was pretty easy to follow. It took me about 4.5 hours with the help of my kid. The only thing i would want to be aware of in the future is the Video install and written directions, while both very detailed, ran wires from the opposite side of the jeep so its hard to go bad and forth for wiring routing.

Great product so far. I installed the rock rails/steps by myself. Pretty simple, but would be easier with a second person for main installation. Steps and sensors work well. Noticed after a couple weeks some LED’s not illuminating. Will contact them soon for replacements. Easy plug and play. Offer great protection as well as functionality.

Excellent look to add to the jeep..however it was a little difficult to install. But patience and finesse is what it takes. Great product!

Great steps, great product. I will have to say the instructions need to be clearer that you MUST follow the harness route. The harness is side specific and is only specified once in the instructions. (In the wiring diagram.)

You may skip the instructions or read over it very easily. But do note that you CANNOT route through the firewall. You must go down the wheel well from the battery on the passenger side, then across the crossmember. I learned the hardway because I wanted to route it cleaner than what was instructed to do, the steps did not work because I had the driver and passenger plugs to the modules mismatched. WHICH IS MY FAULT for not thoroughly reading the instructions or using common sense since there is a module in each step, rather than one module like there use to be, or like there is in the controller in AMP Research steps.

Rock slide automatic rails\steps are a real nice addition to any serious Jeep Wrangler JL. The 3 generation seems to be high quality and very well designed. Fit and finish is up to par for a high end rock rails while adding the hidden step for the taller JL's.

Installed my rock slides the other day. Super simple and fit perfectly. Took my 15 year old son about 30 mins total. I helped him with the rubber gasket. They look amazing!

I had a issue with my side steps it worked out fine until I opened the door and I went halfway and I never moved again. I called Rock Slide and ask him some questions about my issue. He said to disconnect the fuse for a few seconds and reinstall it and see if it went away. No... I called them back I sent them a video and they told me what the issue was the motor went bad. I'm so happy because they were able to get back to me so quickly in the response was amazing! They asked me on my email where do they want to send the motor. I really appreciate your help In resolving this problem I like the equipment thank you. Josh
