Red and Green inspections provided a very detailed inspection of a house my wife and I are interested in purchasing. Jo was very thorough. He reviewed the condition of the roof, exterior, and interior of the home. Took pictures of everything he found and documented the specifics as to what was wrong. The inspection was done in early evening and the report was completed by the next morning. The issues which were found were broken down by area and summarized at the end of the report into the issues which are marginal, defective, and safety issues making it easy to review with the seller on what needs to be resolved and how critical it is. They also offer a number of extras with the inspection such as working with you to turn on the utilities. I was initially very pleased with the inspection process, however 3 months into purchasing our home we have had several problems with our home.
We discovered plumbing issues which cost us $1200.00. We are currently going back and forth with the warranty company to get reimbursed.
We were told of 1 soft spot on our roof and that the canales needed to be maintenanced, however we recently had rain and we have multiple roof leaks from areas that were reported not to have issues. The roofing company said it will be $4000.00 to repair and our warranty just ran out. The roofing company also saw evidence of hail damage from a hail storm that happened prior to us purchasing this home.
The grout throughout our home needs to be redone. I would have never spent over $300k on a house that needs this much work. Read more >
