When I first called and spoke with Kyle, I was greeted with enthusiasm and warm hospitality (something I didn’t get from other pool companies). Kyle is very outgoing and friendly. Kyle was also very good at taking our design concepts and translating them into a beautiful computer aided design. This really helped us fine tune the design and materials before the project began. OC Pools & Spas designed and built our in-ground pool. From ground breaking to filling the pool with water took just under 2 months! I cannot recommend this company enough. Literally every aspect of working with this company was such a joy. Kyle Alkema is so on top of everything, and ALWAYS responded quickly. Good communication on a massive project like this is key. He never disappointed! Every person that stepped foot on our property was quick and efficient. No down time or workers sitting around. There was always a full crew working from early in the morning until after 5 PM most days. Thank you OC Pools for our dream backyard! From design to breaking ground to the final touches our vision came to life. Ryan and Kyle were there for us every step of the way even though we weren’t the easiest to work with, they were very patient and professional. And as we all know, things don’t always go as planned with construction and things happen especially with the rainstorms that weren’t part of the plan which held us up. Regardless, they made sure our project was done on time. Actually, quoted us 90 days from breaking ground and they were done one week AHEAD of schedule! The majority of my interaction with OC Pools & Spa was with Kyle. Being for the most part many of us may have only one real interaction in our lifetimes with getting a pool contractor, I would say be mindful of the fine print. We had some minor hiccups here and there, however at the end of the day the large pool we had them install, I can only say that it turned out as what I expected from their initial 3D rendering they provided us. We worked with Danny who gave us great service. He promised us he would visit the site every time a crew came out to work, and he did. He was there, hands on, every step of the way. Danny was great at communicating with us and patiently answered endless questions. The entire process took about 6 weeks. It would have been faster, but we kept making changes and adding things. Our 1978 backyard/pool was in desperate need of an upgrade. Mike and I met with and spoke with numerous contractors prior to choosing Orange County Pools & Spas. Not only did Danny listen to our ideas but he also made suggestions to increase the esthetic and use of space. After seeing the concept design in 3-D we could not wait for Danny and his team to get started on our backyard.
