I decided to give acupuncture a try for arthritis in my shoulder area. I'd done PT, and used a heating pad daily with little results. I'd gotten a recommendation to go to New Hope and give it a try. I'm so glad I did. Fangrui Shu is so kind and compassionate and her initial evaluation is the most thorough I've every had. My shoulder discomfort is now very minimal, if at all. And if that wasn't enough, as we age, the multiple nightly trips to the bathroom has decreased, down to once or not at all! I’ve been receiving acupuncture treatments at this clinic for more than six months, and I really want to share my positive experience. Initially, I came in with a lot of neck and shoulder tension from spending long hours at a computer, and they did a fantastic job alleviating that discomfort. Experienced lower back pain for over half a year had tried orthopedic massages for many times and didn't help, and pain was progressing. The first treatment already had improvements. I was referred to New Hope Acupuncture by a friend while seeking help with my back and shoulder pain. The pain had lasted for a month or so which had really impacted my life quality. I went to my PCP, had blood test and X-ray done, which didn't reveal any issues. I took pain reliver medicines but that didn't really help. So, I turned to Chinese acupuncture with Ms. Shu, and my pain was greatly reduced after the first treatment. I had seen other acupunctures before, and I can tell that Ms. Shu is very good at what she does. I would recommend New Hope to anyone who suffers chronic pains.

I have had 9 acupuncture sessions so far for chronic back pain with sciatic nerve symptoms as well as chronic insomnia. I decided to try this instead of a second epidural steroid injection. Overall my symptoms have improved despite having to drive at least an hour each way to work and having to sit for most of the day. Both sitting and driving have historically been the worst activities for me. Insomnia is multifactorial for me and I do take medication, but overall my sleep has been more consistent. I tried acupuncture approximately one year ago, but only noticed very temporary relief. Dr. Shu's treatment has been much more effective! I plan to continue for another month (or as long as my insurance will continue covering the sessions). The office is a bit of a drive for me, but it is worth it to receive quality care.

I came to Dr. Shu for acupuncture during my postpartum recovery when I was struggling with poor sleep, low energy, and overall discomfort. Her treatments are incredibly relaxing — truly comparable to a spa experience — and the effects last well beyond the session. Junting is a miracle worker!
I had seen several acupuncturists in the past but Junting's technique is unique and it truly worked wonders for me! During my preparation for pregnancy I met Junting and in less three months, I was pregnant and I continued Accupuncture throughout my pregnancy. I continued to see her in my postpartum journey as well when I had challenges with breastfeeding. Accupuncture sessions with Junting along with herbs honestly helped me heal so well. I strongly recommend Junting to everyone in their fertility journey and after!

New Hope Acupuncture has been absolutely incredible. I went in with intense neck pain from a C3 slipped disk that had been bothering me for years. Unable to rotate my neck fully, but after two sessions I walked out feeling lighter, looser and with noticeably more mobility.

The office and the healing rooms are clean, warming and very calming. I highly recommend it to anyone dealing with pain of tension.

I just wanted to take a moment to emphasize how helpful Dr. Shu has been in treating my condition. I’ve been dealing with ongoing shoulder and neck pain for around 3-4 months. I’ve tried everything under the sun to target the pain. OTC painkillers, heating pads, pain relieving creams, prescribed muscle relaxers, and more! I’ve even gone to many different specialists to get different opinions. I’ve gone to chiropractors, neck and shoulder specialists, PCP, and so on. But no one was able to diagnose and implement a treatment as quickly as Dr. Shu.

If you’re like me and feel like you’ve exhausted all options, please give acupuncture/cupping therapy a try!! It’s a shame it’s not more well known given how effective it is. I highly recommend to anyone feeling any tightness or other kinds of muscle pain. The difference one session makes is lik night and day.
