Nest at Anderson Mill

The Nest is more than just a stellar Montessori school. The faculty and staff truly care about each student and his or her family, creating a family atmosphere that encourages open communication. The care for the children extends outside of the classroom, with fun, well-planned events like the Fall Festival, which further creates a sense of a true community. The incorporation of live animals, such as rabbits and guinea pigs, into many of the classrooms is unique and is yet another reason our child is excited to attend each day. As two working parent household we are comforted by the fact that our kiddo actually likes being at school. He’s supported emotionally when it’s not a good day, he’s allowed to grow at his own pace and encouraged to seek out what interests him. We love our experience at The Nest at Anderson Mill.

Fantastic school and facilities and great teachers. We loved these teachers so much that we followed them to The Nest from our previous school. Leadership is communicative and truly cares for the kids and the teachers. We will be back next summer!

Finding a great school that your child will enjoy, learn, and flourish at is one of the most important decisions you'll make as a parent. At The Nest we feel like we made the best choice for our 3yo daughter. The entire staff, from the front office to her teacher, took her in with open arms and made her feel right at home from day one. The kids are immersed in a wealth and variety of curriculum and activities that keep them looking forward to spending time with their teacher and friends. We've been to other places where mornings were tough to get her to go to school. The facility is brand new, and is designed where you just feel calm and relaxed when you walk in. With three kids we've experienced many schools, and the breakfast, snacks, and lunch are far and away the most wholesome and healthy we've seen. As a Grandparent I have been thrilled with the welcoming staff , expertise , and watching my Grandchild thrive at The Nest !! Focused learning and achieving new skills delights me ! Knowing he enjoys his day there says so much about the teacher , helpers and Staff .

Ms. Jenn and her staff are absolutely wonderful. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants a community that makes you feel like family.

My daughter is attending the Primary program with Ms. Anna and I can't rave enough on how far she has gone academically and socially. The administrative team has been supportive and well versed in communication. I would strongly recommend attending this school, it has become just like a second home.

Our daughter was one of the first to start here and the whole family has simply loved it immensely. She immediately made huge jumps in potty training and basic life skills like drinking from cups, putting her shoes on and taking them off, not to mention new words and songs and stories.

She has so much fun! They take great pictures and she seems so happy in the gym and play ground, while also looking so concentrated doing art and other activities.

The communication is amazing. We get pictures and emails from her teacher and the administration. We get questions answered really fast.

We were new to the Montessori style but I really like the balance they've struck between strong adherence to the academic principles while still allowing the kids to participate in the broader culture—I don't worry about sending her to school in T-shirts.

The leadership team and teachers at The Nest are wonderful! Our sons have been in their care for 1.5 years and we are amazed at the love and care they show for them as well as how much they have learned. I was nervous to trust anyone to care for my now toddler when I had to go back to work in 2021 but Shavonda and her team quickly put my mind at ease so much so that I was then excited for my baby to start this past summer. We are moving back to the Midwest to be near family and this spectacular group of women is one of the few reasons this move is bittersweet because I cannot imagine getting so lucky twice in a lifetime as to find care as genuine and thorough as we’ve had with this team.
