So glad we found My Pets Brace. Our active 7 yo lab/pit mix had TPLO surgery on his left hind leg and less than a year later he tore the right side leg, too. Saw a documentary for My Pets Place and luckily got a recommendation from our vet for this place also.
Although they are about 2 hrs. from our home we gave them a try.
We got an appointment quickly and when we got there the staff were kind and gentle with our nervous dog. The fitting was fast and 2 weeks later we were back to get the brace. Again the staff was helpful with all our questions, and there were many! The Brace itself was well made and fit well and our sweet Buddy has been utilizing the brace for the last month with no problems.

I recently adopted a dog who was missing a front paw. I was interested in a prosthetic because I was very concerned about arthritis and other structural issues to his hips and spine. My Pets Brace created a custom made prosthetic and they were very accommodating, especially in the first few weeks/months because the prosthetic required multiple adjustments. The entire staff is very kind, gentle, and understanding. My dog now walks (and runs) perfectly with the prosthetic. The prosthetic is very easy to put on and remove. When my 10 month old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Evie tore her ccl I knew where to go after her diagnosis. My Pet's Brace in Tom's River NJ. Nancy and Cheryl are wonderful and Evie's brace was ready in a week. She just had her 4 month check up yesterday and she is doing great. As always she was happy to see everyone and give them kisses. This is actually my 3rd brace from My Pets Brace. My first was in 2020 with my other Swissie and the second was in 2022 for a friend's dog that they sent to me to rehab for their dog's ccl. My Pet's Brace was so professional and patient with me as I was making decisions on how I was going to handle my dogs torn ACLs, since she was 12 years old and I was getting pressure from a surgeon to repair her ACLs via surgery. My dog had an old tear in her left leg and a new tear in the right. Because of her age and slight heart condition, I decided to do 2 rounds of PRP one month apart and go to my pet's brace and get her a custom fitted braces for both her knees. With this combination of treatment, my dog avoided surgery and healed up beautifully. She is now 13 years old and able to skip down the street like she used to without having surgery and no longer needs the braces. My Pet's Brace receives 5+ stars IMO times TWO! When our lab mix tore her first ACL we were devasted. So thankful someone told us about My Pets Brace. They were aces and reassuring ... I felt this alternative to surgery was going to work, and it did.
It definitely takes discipline and a change in what was normal activity to make it work. During the recovery she tore her other hind leg which is very common. We were recommended to My Pets Brace by our orthopedic surgeon who did surgery on our girls right hind leg 4 years ago. Bella is now 12 yrs old and has a torn AC on her left hind leg. We were not happy about surgery so we went to Tom's River to have her fitted for a brace. Nancy was very helpful in the whole process. So far Bella is doing good. She still has a few more months to go until her course of treatment is completed (8-9 months are recommended) so I am hoping she keeps doing so good and we get a good result. My Pet’s Brace is fabulous! We recently adopted Rudy, who an untreated broken leg, so his foot is only attached to his leg by his skin. We brought our 14 year old mini-golden doodle to My Pet's Brace in Tom's River, NJ back in August for a torn ACL. They were very patient when they were fitting him for the brace. He had to be casted a few times because he had a fatty cyst on the back leg and the cast kept slipping down. The final brace came in and he adapted so quickly. They were FABULOUS. My beagle wore a brace custom fitted through the folks at the Toms River location - she had a torn ACL and after 4 months of wearing the brace all day, she was able to run on her own!! The brace worked and she has had a full recovery. The staff at Toms River were so nice and accommodating, even sewing on extra tabs to make the cushioning more comfortable. This was a fantastic alternative to surgery which had been recommended by my vet. My dog was able to return to activity sooner, cut down on the atrophy of her muscles, and now one year later, she continues to run and climb stairs with no problem (not bad for a 12 year old!) Our Staffordshire Bull Terrier tore her ACL in November of 2021. We opted to get a brace from my pet's brace in Tom Rivers New Jersey. From the very beginning, the organization was top notch. Teresa from the Tom's River location treated our dog like her own. Sophie(our dog's name) wouldn't walk at all on her hind leg that was injured. Teresa took the time to explain the process, fitted the cast and taught us how to use it. The whole process took about a month. We religiously use the cast on our long walks. As of September 15th, 2022 we are pleased to tell you that Sophie is walking on all fours and her injured knee is getting stronger everyday. She barely has a limp know and has just started prancing around like she use to. She still struggles to run, but we think that will come with time.
