My son has been at MEC for the past two years. He has loved being part of Ms Kelley's class and we have seen him grow exponentially during this time. My child likes her teachers and enjoys going to school. The Montessori offers so many classes that she can take. Some examples are swimming, music, tumble bus and Karate. I like not having to spend our weekend time together to run her around to these classes since she gets them here during the day. She learns independency, I can text the teachers, and it is evident that they want to work in tune with us to make her a better person (she is 4 so it's hard). Read more >

My son was enrolled in the Toddler's village and now at Children's House. He learnt disciplines very well to be a polite, responsible and independent boy. My daughter has done very well at Montessori. We've been to KinderCare, La Petite, a Church daycare and had an in-home nanny. The Curious Child has surpassed all of them in quality of care given, attention to detail in the environment and intentional educational activities. The staff has worked with me on any issues we've had and they really do care about my daughter's development. I feel she is safe at all times and that our money is being well spent on her early development as a social, confident, curious and intelligent young lady. Read more >

Since our daughter has started school, we have seen her grow leaps and bounds! She is learning so much, both in her "homework" and social skills. We love that she is able to engage in activities such as music, dance, yoga, outside time, as well as the many extra events outside of school (Picnics, carnival, pumpkin patch, etc...) The Montessori Philosophy is great for all kids. I am confident this philosophy has helped my 4 children grow as individual learners. Each of my children have had a unique experience in exploring their individual strengths while at the same time being challenged appropriately for their age. I was looking for a preschool for my son to attend for many months until we came across Curious Child Montessori Preschool in February 2018. I am so thankful we found CCM preschool. I right away knew it was the right preschool for my son. What caught my eye is their very large backyard which my son loves! Ever since my son started CCM his vocabulary has been improving tremendously and he is becoming more and more independent. His teachers are very attentive and friendly and that is a huge plus! We have loved House of Montessori (HOM)! The teachers have been great. They love the kids and they also provide excellent education. There are also a lot of good educational activities that are brought to the age 3-6 room, such as music lessons, Spanish, yoga, and soccer. Our only complaint has been that when we started at HOM over 3 years ago, about 1/3 of the teachers were black and 2/3 were white. Then when new management took over a little over a year ago, most of the black teachers left, such that now only about 10% of teachers are non-white. I’m guessing this exodus occurred largely because a more stringent education requirement was added to be a teacher. While we obviously value education in the teachers, we miss many of the teachers that left and we question whether an associates degree is worth as much as years of experience teaching at HOM and an obvious love for the kids.... I have had a child attend Curious Child Montessori Preschool since 2014. The people are what make the school great! All of the teachers know my children by name and seem to really enjoy their job. My children are consistently engaged in worthwhile activities and given opportunities to be challenged at the appropriate level. I also appreciate the copious amounts of outdoor time. My oldest is heading off to kindergarten in the fall and is more than prepared academically. We absolutely love the staff and school!

I only gave the school 4/5 stars because of some changes that were made this year. One factor in choosing the school four years ago was the school year schedule. As a teacher, I liked the opportunity to spend extra time with my children during the summer without having to pay extra fees, etc. The small school atmosphere and schedule made it an affordable... I enjoy working for this company. I was recently hired about two months ago. I wish I had a little more knowledge about Montessori schools and practices. I enjoy working within such a close knit community. We have great resources provided to us. Although our tablets for himama and adp seem to struggle to get WiFi in the infant room. Read more >

We (parents and 2 children) have been with the House of Montessori for a while now. Our oldest is currently in Primary and started in the infant room. She loves it; we love it; we really enjoy the exposure she has to the many, many activities. We also like that she is in a diverse classroom and has had diverse teachers. Have and will continue to refer to potential prospects. Our youngest will be moving into the Toddler room soon and she has enjoyed her time in the infant room. She really enjoys her care providers!
