Masters Services did repair work on our chimney when we purchased our house 4 years ago. The work was excellent so we called them for an inspection and cleaning. The camera inspection revealed a heavy buildup of soot which needed to be removed with a chemical treatment. JD and Shamir applied the treatment. The previous homeowner used this company in 2017 to clean the chimney and do some other work to the tune of about $1,200. The chimney was not cleaned, which we learned only after having another company look at it when it smelled terrible. The flashing is also peeling off and flapping in the wind and it has never looked right. Having a different company take care of the issues now. I just had a new chimney cap installed. The employees that came out to install the chimney were knowledgeable and professional. I like the fact that we got a deal on the type 2 cap which they offered the price we were given by their employee. I would've given them a five star but I had to call them to get the quote which took four days due to their employee not sending measurements for the new chimney cap back to the main office with prices for options. We are really impressed with Master Services. We were having problems with the chimney leaking and smoking inside despite the fact another company had recently swept the chimney. Master Services diagnosed the problems provided us with a reasonable estimate and returned quickly to do the needed work. I am AMAZED at the service provided by Master Services chimney repair in Denton, TX. We've had them come out 3 times. The first time was about 3 years ago to install a new chimney cap. They had to build a custom cap to fit our chimney. It was perfect. Over a year later, we called them out to repair a noise we heard caused by high wind on the chimney. They tightened the cap for no charge, saying they always guaranteed their work. Last month, we called them again because of noise in the chimney during high wind. I am embarrassed to say, it was tree limbs banging against the chimney. Chris and Daniel sawed the limbs off, then insisted on carrying them away from the yard for me. Masters Services just came out to sweep my chimney, but not without a $150 inspection first. Had the inspection and an estimate of $1000+ but no chimney sweep. They could not do it without the repairs first. This was not told to me when I made the appointment or when the technician got here.

I will never use this company again, and I suggest everyone read other reviews before using them

Got an estimate from this company on February 6. Cody, the person who did the estimate, assured me the work would able to be done and in a timely fashion. We have a chimney that is leaking. Got the job scheduled for them to come out today 2/25. The technician came out to the home, didn't make contact with the homeowner, decided it was not able to be done due to safety and left. I feel that information should have been conveyed at the time of the estimate and I could've looked for a different company. Read more >

We hired this company last week for a chimney inspection. The inspector was great and we went ahead and hired the company for additional services.

Specifically, we hired the company to do:
- Gas Log Refurbish - Clean out all existing gas log misc,. Paint grate, new sand, new green embers, new lava, enhanced embers, and the labor
- Chimney Sweep - -Chimney Sweep when the chimney is either deemed to be up to code or has been brought up to code with necessary work done. Sweep the flue only of any fire hazardous soot. All loose soot will be removed. Note, any ashes from previous fires will not be cleaned out by Masters Services and will be left behind. Any stage 3 cresote present is not part of this type of sweep service.

Very disappointed. Treated my chimney for about an hour though they said it would be 4-8 hours. Returned to finish the job a few days later after the treatment.
