Scott and Andrew are troopers! These guys pulled a dead animal out of my chimney quickly and without complaint. They reassured me that my chimney was clean and gave me a nice estimate for a custom chimney cap to avoid future intrusions. They also called 20 minutes before they arrived. We have had a great experience with Masters Services. We wanted custom fireplace doors so Andrew and Scott came to our house and walked us through the process of choosing everything from the model to the glass in the doors. They explained everything patiently and helped us to choose the best color and accessories for the doors. Andrew returned when the doors were ready and installed them for us. I wouldn't use them again. The man came out, shined a cell phone light up the chimney and declared it clean. Pointed out chips in the masonry and said it needed to be fixed... This was fine and I could buy it. The cell phone light
can't see far enough up the chimney, so if you'll excuse me for not trusting this method. He also stood on the front lawn, stared up at the flashing on the chimney and declared it a mess without actually investigating, stating it had to be redone. This redo would have been another $300+ on the invoice. Though the flashing isn't the prettiest, we've had it redone by a roofer already, and there are no leaks (I can see from chimney to roof in the attic, no leaks. I come from a long line of builders). Richard came to our home and took great care of us. He called 30 mins ahead, showed up a few minutes early (which was great) and did an excellent job. He even sent me an email quote later as I had asked for to do some work on the chimney (exterior on the roof) as it is getting older, but was not pushy at all. Chris came for an estimate. Unfortunately he could not help me because the gas pipe of my fireplace, which needs to be repaired is under the floor and requires a licensed plumber. But Chris was really nice and spent a lot of time trying to figure out an alternative solution. He also called other experts for information. As a summary, I think Chris is a very professional person and very committed to satisfy his customer.

Not only was the technician, Jon, on time and polite he also pointed out that she needed a new cap due to rusting of her old cap. I recently moved to Dallas and wanted to convert my fireplace to gas logs. Thankfully my realtor referred me to MastersServices based on a very positive experience she personally had with them when they did work on her gas fireplace. I am pleased and delighted with the work Jon and MastersServices did for me. It was a pleasure working with Jon. I appreciate his professionalism and knowledge and the time he gave me to make sure I'd be happy with the logs and how everything would be put together in my firebox. Best. Service. Ever. Since purchasing our "money pit", we've had other service providers come into our home on an almost weekly basis. My experience with Masters Services has left all of them in the dust. We had issues with our chimney becoming an indoor water feature every time it rained. Andrew took the time to explain every little minutiae of the process (and reasons why it had to be done) until I was sure I was an expert and could explain it to my husband, myself.

In all honesty, I had already told all my friends about this individual and Masters Services after JUST getting the estimate. I felt confident that what we were quoted was absolutely necessary in stopping the water from coming in our home. I called them because I had a squirrel problem recently that I thought I had resolved, but then started hearing scratching-like sounds above my bedroom. I called them, and Andrew came out. He walked me around the outside of the house to look for potential entry points. He also looked for possible entry points on the roof, and then went up into my attic (which is very difficult to navigate through). He saw no signs of activity, and suggested there was probably no activity, but gave me plenty of options to ensure all was well, from placing traps to putting up a camera to re-sealing any possible entry point.
