I cannot emphasize enough how great Andy and Pearl and their team has been. Over the past 8 years I have been working with them with 2 kids going to 2 different colleges. If you are like me your kids are initially applying to many schools, these schools require somewhat different information in their financial aid applications, Lockwood handles it all! Once your child is accepted Lockwood handles the yearly reapplication making sure all forms are filed on time and correctly. The amount of money awarded to my children was absolutely staggering! We signed up for Lockwood college prep when our first child was applying to college ,as parents ,we didn’t go to school in the states therefore we found the process daunting and we weren’t very familiar with the process . However Andy,Pearl and the entire Lockwood team made the experience completely stress free.They provided invaluable assistance with essay writing, compiling college lists, listing accomplishments,completing the CSS Profile and the dreaded FASFA application.
Our satisfaction with the Lockwood’s college prep team was so high that we signed our next two children as well .

My Name is Nicholas Nitis and had been through 2 College counselors for my Daughter. I totally wasted my money. Incredible help with essay writing and application process.

We started working with Andy and Pearl about 6 years ago when our son was a second semester sophomore in high school. He has now graduated with honors from UMichigan, Go Blue!
Andy mentioned something in a talk he gave, that my husband turned to me and said, "We can afford college!". I cannot recommend Lockwood College Prep enough, from the support we got through the application process to the financial aid consulting and FAFSA help all the way through, Lockwood Prep was our secret weapon. I have shared their information with dozens of friends and will happily continue to do so.

We loved using the Lockwood college prep for so many reasons. As someone who did not have the opportunity to attend college and never realized all the work needed to help my son get into a college including all the financial aspects Lockwood basically held our hands and walked us through everything. Starting with test prep and essay and choosing colleges all which the high school counselor never helped him address. The Tuesday coffee talks on facebook were both informative and entertaining , about how to choose a college that best suited my sons study style and had a great return on investment. (He is now doing his residency as a pharmacist.) Pearls team did all the Fasfa work and i didn't have to worry about it. They took us from college essays to the end, such a five star experience thank you Andy and Pearl.

We hired Andy at the end of our son's sophomore year. It was the best thing we ever did! We took the "soup to nuts" package and his services paid for themselves. Our son was ultimately accepted at all of the schools that he applied at and offered 9 generous scholarships. Andy's in-depth knowledge and assistance guided our family through this very stressful process; we were able to maximize our son's options and avoid some of the pitfalls that can happen along the way. His wife, Pearl, is awesome as well. She handles all of the financial aid stuff and she made sure everything we needed was filed on time for every school. Our family signed on for college financial aid advising and i cannot stress enough, how much stress was reduced by having the Lockwoods on board to help us navigate our first kid going to college. From submitting CSS & FAFSA in this bonkers time to negotiating aid, they were responsive, creative and effective! When our initial aid offer wasn't as strong as we hoped, Andy reviewed our small business P&L and helped us make the case for more funds! It worked! We actually got to a place where we can make it work and send our son to his #1 school!

My son and I highly recommend Lockwood college prep. My son enjoyed working with Andy; he found him funny, approachable, and motivating. While my son got into his dream school, I continued to use Lockwood's services to fill out the FAFSA forms. Pearl is both honest and savvy when number-crunching. Andy helped us create a well-balanced list of schools and showed us how to effectively communicate not only Harry's accomplishments, but who he is and what he has to offer the colleges on his list. It was such a pleasure working with Lockwood College Prep! Marissa with her SAT tutoring skills were a huge part of my son’s acceptance to his first choice college. She was able to target the specific areas that needed improvement and provided amazing strategies to do so. His score was in the top percentile, which definitely helped earn his acceptance into one of the country’s top business schools
