I had nothing but a good experience from start to finish. Alex was very courteous on the phone when I called to book my appointment and he went over my options with me when I explained that I'd prefer to pay cash. I chose to come in the night before my surgery so I wouldn't be so rushed the day of. They booked my hotel for me and all I had to do was pay for it when I arrived, which was less than $100 USD. I travelled from Canada to the USA and then transitioned into Tijuana through San Diego. My driver was on time and was super friendly, pointing out all the sights on the way to the hospital. I was able to get some pre-op testing done the day before as I had arrived early enough. The driver then took me to the hotel and another driver was there to get me in the morning. I had my Dad with me as a companion and he was really impressed with the service as well. They put me up in a double room so my dad was able to stay in the room with me, and Dr. Illan came in to tell my Dad how I did with the surgery. He even came in before the surgery to explain what it would be like and answered any questions that we had. He's super sweet and knowledgeable, and I'm glad I chose him as my surgeon.

I'm just over two months out from my surgery and I've lost just over 30lbs. My weight loss is slower than what some might expect but I had a conversion from VSG to MGB as I struggled with the VSG due to developing GERD. I have way more energy than before and I am so much happier. Thank you Dr. Illan and team, you're all wonderful. I hope to be back in a couple years at your hospital to be having my skin removal! :)
