Went for VSG 11/27/18 best experience of my life

I am scheduled for wls next month and I’m very impressed with the line of communication. I have asked many questions via email and always get a prompt response. I am feeling very nervous because I have never had major surgery and I’m still not letting some bad reviews get me down. I have heard a lot of amazing things about Dr Illan and know from a close friend first hand that the facility is top notch. My friend had wls over a year ago at BariatricPal MX and lost over 100lbd and is pregnant! I can’t wait for all the great changes ahead of me, and will be submitting another review after surgery. Okay, personal review of how my visit to Tijuana went. I want to start out by saying no one has paid me or otherwise persuaded me to review my experience one way or another. This is all from me.

I have to admit, I was a nervous wreck boarding the plane to San Diego. I kept my game face on, no one could tell ;) I mean what's not to be nervous about? You see all these movies depicting a rough, dirty city. You hear "urban legends" about having organs removed and you find yourself in a tub of ice. You see all over the news, sex trafficking women and children.

NONE OF IT'S TRUE!!!

Not where we were, anyway. I mean, there are parts of the US scarier than this!!

From the moment we got off the plane in San Diego, it was beautiful sunshine, warm weather! We were met by our super friendly driver. He was so warm and personable!...

I researched doctors in the US and outside of the states for a year before trusting Dr. Galvez for my plastics. From Instagram and Facebook I had heard nothing but amazing things about him and the staff.

Booking was easy. You send in pictures, get a quote and you have 48 hours to reserve your spot. It’s fast but they book fast so you have to act. $1,000 deposit reserves your spot and then you pay the rest before your surgery. They also confirm your date and transportation leading up to surgery.

Dr. Galvez truly cares about his patients and will suggest changes during your pre-op that will give better results if he sees something should change. I trusted him and I’m so happy I did. He is very knowledgeable and VERY experienced. He has many weight loss clients and gives us the bodies we’ve worked hard for, not the boxy shape many people get after TT from weight...

Dr. Galvez and each and every staff member at the hospital and hotel are wonderful and very caring, professional and truly care about and for each patient. Safety first and foremost. I’m extremely happy with the whole experience and my results. I am going back for round two.

I have had a great experience with Bariatricpal MX. Everyone form the pick up at the airport to departure time was great.. I had a great experience and would recommend this facility to my friends and family. I did not have WLS here only plástica all the Dr’s that I was seen by were kind, caring and very informative. The nurses were great love my Lety and Paola at the Hospital hey really helped me feel at ease.. Dr. Galvez was a sweetheart calmed my nerves the day before surgery as I was waiting for the Pre-op Dr... the Valets and Hospital nurses are awesome. Talk about aftercare. This is something you would jot get back in the states.. saving my money for round 2... I will be back...

i can not say enougb about bariatric pal and the entire team. Stacy graciously playing chauffer. Bill comimg and checkimg on me at the hospital. The amazing skilled nurses. My ecellent companions Luis and My Man Juanito. And of course the doctor who even can to check on me during my stay at recovery in his own time because i had a fever. you all are so amazing best care i have ever recieved. Better than any care I have ever recieved in the united states. if i ever need amything again I will be back thank you

I wanted to take a minute to tell you what an amazing facility bariatricpalMx has been for me. The doctors and staff have provided me not only once but twice with the best professional care. I have been 5 times to this facility and have two more schedule trips very soon along with a second plastics surgery planned for me.

With that being said I would love to share with you my personal experience with these amazing doctors and staff that make your experience amazing. I had complications with a previous surgery from a different doctor that needed immediate attention.
Dr. Illian was the one I chose to do just that. What an amazing surgeon!! His bedside manner and demeanor is amazing. He treated me with such compassion and care. He stayed in my room and took all the tine I needed to answer all of my questions and concerns. As I headed into a second bariatric...

I had bariatric surgery here and was thrilled with the care I received. The staff were wonderful, polite, caring and very informative. Anything we needed they obliged. I've never received this level of care in the US. Highly recommend for your bariatric or plastic surgery needs. Dr. Illan is best in class.

I have now had 2 procedures with Bariatricpal and would not think of going anywhere else. Dr. Illan performed my revision from the Sleeve to the Mini Gastric Bypass to resolve my acid reflux problem 2/13/17. I can not be happier since day 1 of my revision I have not had any acid reflux problems. Thank you Dr. Illan for giving me my life back without acid reflux, I finally sleep at night with no issues.
My second surgery was with Dr. Galvez 12/21/17 I had full body lipo with a modified torsoplasty. I had horrible scars from my breast lift in 2014 and they caused me a lot of pain. Dr. Galvez & Dr. Sanchez was able to remove all the old scar tissue and remove the extra skin the previous surgeon did not remove. I look and feel amazing. Thanks to the best bariatric & plastic surgeons you could have.
