I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at Hospital BC in Tijuana. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion.

A special thank you to Dr. Illan for performing my surgery. His expertise, confidence, and attention to detail gave me complete peace of mind throughout this life-changing journey.

The nursing and care staff deserve tremendous recognition as well. Having 24-hour care made all the difference during my recovery. Every member of the team was attentive, patient, and quick to respond whenever I needed assistance. Their dedication made me feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for.

I also want to personally thank Luis and Beto. Their humanity, kindness, and genuine concern for my well-being went far beyond what I expected....

I had mini gastric bypass surgery. Dr. Illan took care of me and I had no complications. My coordinators Henry, Beto and Luis also stayed in communication with and answered all questions I had.

I was at Hospital BC for VSG or Gastric Sleeve surgery. I can't express how wonderful my experience was in just a few words but here goes. From the transportation proved, Sal you were warm and friendly my Granddaughter and I enjoyed the conversation. The receptionist, Marina, was so helpful and always had a reassuring word with a beautiful smile. Henry Cortez was great from the first phone call. He was there every step of the way for my weightloss journey from Fort Worth,Texas to Tijuana, Mexico. Can't say enough words of appreciation for Louis, who helped me walk and patiently walk slow with me as many times as I walk and helped translate to the nurses. I came from Charlotte North Carolina, USA to Hospital BC in Tijuana Mexico. 🇲🇽 All of the staff were amazing! 🤩 The drivers, receptionists, nurses, dietitians, and surgeons were incredibly helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions and made me feel right at home throughout the entire process. Special shoutout to Betto, Henry, and Dr. Illan Jill for their exceptional care and support. Every single person at Hospital BC was phenomenal! The care was exceptional and the staff went above and beyond in every aspect! From the moment I was picked up at the Airport in San Diego to the drive to the hotel then to the hospital the following morning. The staff has been tremendous! Especially Beto, extremely attentive, kind and knowledgeable, Definitely the person you go too for whatever you need during your stay at Hospital B.C. The hospital has been very clean (better than in the states) ! Had my Surgery done yesterday on 5/25/26 by Dr. Illian and I cant wait to see the results down this journey. The entire team at Hospital BC exceeded my expectations! From when I first arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease. Seriously, the bedside manner of every single member has been just remarkable. I've come from Arkansas to have this mini gastric bypass all of the staff nurses and Drs are AMAZING! IF I could give 100 stars I would! The nurse staff is so attentive!! The surgeon Dr illlan was amazing! The drivers are so awesome everything went amazing very little pain after surgery all of the staff makes your comfort first priority!! Definitely recommend this life changing experience!! Beto and sal have been amazing as well helping us navigate everything!! ALSO Definitely definitely recommend THE SPA at the hospital! they have so many options at a very reasonable price from massage to facials and dentistry I had the relaxation massage, dermablation, and Hollywood peel dsy before surgery. Needless to say I'm unbothered by anything lol! 10/10 stars for them as well!!!! Don't hesitate to take on this life changing experience!

My husband had weight loss surgery here. This place is spectacular! Far exceeds all expectations for medical tourism. Beto is a huge help and can do anything you need! He is always just around the corner to assist!

This place was amazing I was scared leaving the US for surgery. From the time of being selected to the time of setting my surgery date the staff was informative and checked in on my via phone and the Bariatric app. We were given the phone number for the driver who picked us up from the airport and took us to the hospital for the lab work and a majority of the paperwork. From there they took us to the hotel where they helped check us in. We went to our room and got settled. I ordered a complimentary liquid diet meal for me and then my husband and I walked the charming cobble stone roads, and did some local shopping. The transportation service provided by Sal, who picked me up at the San Diego airport and drove me to the BCN hospital in Tijuana, was exceptional. I had such an amazing experience during my plastic surgery stay. The entire staff made me feel so comfortable, cared for, and at ease from start to finish. Everyone was kind, professional, and attentive, which made the whole process so much easier. I truly felt like I was in the best hands. Beto was very helpful and friendly while I stayed at hospital BC. The surgery was over in the blink of an eye and the healing process was smoother than I expected, after 2 days I’m walking completely normal. My only problem was that there was a lack of Communication when I tried to have my mother accommodated with a bed while she stayed in the hospital with me. The room I’m in comes with a standard hospital bed but the accommodations for your partner you bring is a 4.5 ft side loft, this was unacceptable to sleep on. This and then having to fork up 100$ cash a night for her to sleep in a hospital bed in a separate room was very stressful to me only finding this out hours before surgery. Other than that the staff and nurses here were very attentive and accommodating. My surgeon and anesthesiologist had very good beside manner and were very reassuring and knowledgeable on answering my...

I came to hospital bc in Tijuana as a companion while my friend got her gastric sleeve done. The whole process was very smooth and straightforward. Very nice and clean facilities. The first night we stayed in a super nice hotel booking handled by hospital bc, within walking distance to a shopping mall which we enjoyed walking around! The staff is so kind and helpful. I came to Hospital BC as a companion to my husband who was having a mini gastric bypass. The Hospital is clean and modern, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful! They go out of their way to make sure both patients and their companions have all their needs met. I knew I could trust my husband with his care because I was a patient here six years ago and it was the best decision I could have made for my health. I'm very thankful for Hospital BC and all of it's staff.

I got the gastric bypass revision surgery yesterday at Hospital BC. Wow what a clean hospital. The whole journey so far has been easy and stress free. Not like in California. Thanks to transportation, staff, nurses and Doctors. They are always there to check on you and do it with compassion, empathy & a smile. Some of my favorites staff is Angel, Ruby and of course Beto! I love the jokes and laughs with them.
