I came here for a VSG, and I must say from the doctor to the staff, it was phenomenal 🙌🏾. The care I recieved was definitely top notch, if I could do this again, I would do 100 times over, not only did feel safe, but it felt like family here, and i love that very much. The hospital itself was very clean and sanitary. I highly recommend them. 🌼

I had an amazing experience at Hospital BC! Everyone was so kind and went out of their way to make my sister and I feel welcome! I highly recommend this facility. They will take great care of you!

The hospital and staff were amazing! If you are considering having bariatric surgery but are on the fence or nervous about going across the border just do it. Everyone was amazing the from the drivers to the valets nursing staff and of course the surgeon. I have never had a more comfortable stay in the hospital.

I am a companion here for this surgery, everyone has been super professional. My cousin Raymona Jolliff had the surgery yesterday and they have been very attentive to her needs and mine even though Im just here with her. The valets here are awesome! Anything that we have needed they have been happy to help. 100% would recommend this hospital to everyone!!! (FYI) if you dip or chew tobacco bring enough for your trip Mexico don’t sell it. :)

From the moment I landed in San Diego and was picked up by Luis, every detail of my journey has been expertly and compassionately thought out. I arrived at Hospital BC with my companion (my mother💖) and all my lab work was completed for myself and my surgery sisters💖💖. We were then transported to a very lovely hotel by Joe, who stayed to get us all checked in. The hotel staff is amazing and knows just what you need as a bariatric patient. My dinner of a popsicle and broth was delicious. My mom and I ventured out to the mall that Joe told us about and guess what? There is a sears there😃 I hadn’t seen a Sears in years😉 We picked up some souvenirs and walked back to the hotel. We watched a couple movies and went to bed. The next morning we were picked up by Julio for the hospital and brought back to prepare for surgery. I can’t remember the surgery, but it went and we got to see pictures...

The hospital was beautiful, clean and so comfortable. The staff was very attentive and helpful. They made themselves available all the time, immediately responding to a light and any concerns. I couldn't more highly recommend this hospital, Dr. Illan or the staff; from picking me up and making all accommodations to constantly checking on me. I had a revision from gastric sleeve that I had in the states that didn't do anything to mini gastric bypass and cannot wait to see where this new journey takes me. The Facebook page is also very supportive by staff and other prior or future patient. They're all always available to answer questions faster than lightening. If you're considering any weightloss surgery, look no further.

What an exciting experience this has been! Nothing but positivity and encouragement from the moment I was picked up and brought to the hospital. The entire team has been amazing, the valets Beto and Julio, the nurses & staff are all phenomenal! Dr. Illan was amazing, he made me feel at ease from the moment he walked In to discuss the surgery with me, he knew I was very nervous(I’ve never had any other procedures done!) he calmed me down and everything went amazing! Dr. Illan and all the other doctors, and nurses were great. Jullian and Humberto the chauffeurs were absolutely GREAT. Anything we asked of them they helped get. The overall experience here was good. The only thing that I think could use a little work is, i know we are in a another country, but as many Americans that come here for the surgeries, I believe they should have more English speaking nurses.

After being very concerned about traveling to Mexico for gastric surgery, I did extensive homework on Doctors and facilities. After talking with Hospital BC and looking at the reviews of Dr. Illan and staff, I decided to book with them. From the moment that I arrived in San Diego it was smooth sailing into Mexico and straight to the Hotel where the driver did the check in for us. Our room was clean and they had approved food for my pre op diet. The next day the driver picked us up and took us to the hospital. Again, it was a very smooth process. I had surgery that day and was up and walking within 3 hours after surgery! The nurses and staff were excellent and kind. Dr Illan’s bedside manner was exceptional. I am currently sitting in my bed here at the hospital the day after surgery virtually in no pain and the care has been incredible. I definitely chose the right doctor and hospital...

The entire Hospital BC staff is just incredible, attentive, and keeps things so positive and relaxed! 💜 I’ve been up and walking every hour since about 3 hours out of recovery. They are so on top of pain and nausea medication. It’s the dream experience! I was definitely nervous being a cane/mobility aid user, but I was treated with more respect, kindness, and care than any other medical experience I’ve ever had in my entire life 🥹 Can’t wait to continue healing and continue on my health journey. I’m so full of gratitude to Dr. Illan, Julio, and the entire Hospital BC staff for helping and believing in me.

Dr. Illan and his staff are all amazing and make you feel welcome! I'm typically a very nervous person with tons of anxiety but had absolutely none. I never had any leading up to the surgery because I knew from all the wonderful reviews, what a great experience it was going to be. Dr. Is so professional & personable. The nurses and valets are wonderful and accommodating. Recommend 10/10. If you're considering bariatric surgery, this is the place to come!
