Nothing but good things to say!! Definitely the cleanest hospital I’ve ever been to. Every staff member I have came in contact with is amazing. 1 day post op and I couldn’t be better. Thanks Hospital BC, Dr. Illan and your incredible staff for your 5 star service!!!!

I recently had my surgery by Dr. Illan at Hospital BC and cannot express how much I am grateful by everyone we made contact with. My coordinator through the beginning was Freddie and he was very informative and patient with me through the beginning stages of making my decision to go through with Hospital BC and helped me every step of the way with great communication and follow up. Once arriving at the hospital our first impression was how neat and clean the entire facility was; from outside, the lobby to back in the hospital rooms. Everything is so well maintained and taken care of. Dr. Illan checked in on the day of surgery and introduced himself and provided his excitement and encouragement that we had made the right decision and were in the right hands. His professionalism was excellent. Before and after surgery we were checked in and waited on by Beto and Fred whom were amazing...

Staff were awesome from drivers to nurses all very friendly went above and beyond. Hospital BC is very clean, and I would recommend. Dr Illian was awesome. He had to make a decision on my surgery at the last minute which was in my best interest due to health issues. Excellent Dr to take that initiative. Yes I was dissapointed but Dr illian was 100% right. Thankyou.

Posting as a companion and on behalf of my relative that had surgery here. From pickup at the airport to the surgery and recovery, Hospital BC has treated us like family. My relative is a repeat client of Dr Illian, he was thorough and had excellent bedside manner. Recovery Dr Lidia was sweet and informative and nutritionist Flora had a wonderful post-diet presentation and very knowledgeable. Night nurse Vanessa has got to be one of the most amazing nurses. Standout staff also include Beto & Fred who are the concierges who run you from place to place and makes sure you’re cared for. They checked in every few hours or so just to chat and make sure that we didn’t need anything and made our stay so much more pleasant. Beto especially never ceased to make us laugh and we appreciated his positivity. Beto even made sure that us companions were looked after by gathering us companions out...

Beto and Fernando are the best!! Very helpful and friendly. The whole hospital staff has been top notch! Would recommend. Even if you don’t speak Spanish, this facility will make sure you are taken care of. I came here with my wife to support her while she had her procedure. And trust me, Beto and Fernando and all the staff there are very helpful! Trust me, look for Fernando and Beto. These are the guys you need, if you are here with your loved one.

Hospital BC has been the best medical experience I’ve ever had. If you’ve been fat, you likely know how miserable you can feel at the doctors office, but that is completely different here. From the moment I got here, I have been treated with kindness and compassion, and have had incredibly prompt and competent care. The staff members listen and care and go out of their way to make you comfortable. Beto and Carolina have been especially helpful and encouraging during my time here. I’ve Seriously been so impressed with my entire experience here.

I would recommend Hospital BC to any everyone. The care from the Staff is Amazing. The Facilty is Top Tier. Both you and your Companion are taken care of Beyond anything you can imagine. Berto, Fernando and the rest of the personal Valets will Spoil you with their constant care.

From the moment that I reached out through social media. The communication with Hospital BC has been unlike any other. They are honest, kind, and genuine people who truly care about the well being of their patients. My pick up from San Diego was relatively smooth, the driver was a little late but it was only because he was helping a patient take up her luggage to the hotel. The patient had arrived alone and she isn't allowed to lift past a certain weight so it was understandable. He apologized profusely but he wasn't even that late. And it was to care for a patient so just shows how much he cares for their well being. I arrived at the hotel and it was so nice, there's a Plaza right across the street with a movie theater. I walked around TJ, enjoyed the Plaza and went back. I was pretty exhausted and my pick up was at 615am so I showered and fell asleep.

My surgery for mini gastric bypass was on 8/25 and I'm down 7 pds already! However I received phenomenal service from the doctors, nurses, drivers and the coordinators if I could do it all over I would in a heart beat! Dr. Selim was awesome he had great energy as well as the anesthesiologist! Hubby came along with me he was very hesitant at first but day 2 he was friends with everyone and could not leave the tacos alone lol. I had 0 pain gas I was up and walking the same day! My return to work paperwork was filled out in a timely manner as well. The only thing I did dislike which is why I gave 4 stars is because I 100% financed my surgery and I was charged $100 due to my blood pressure being high during surgery and Dr had to take extra steps to keep my blood pressure down. Which I don't believe I should be charged for that ya know it's a part of saving my life and your job... but...

Amazing experience with Hospital BC and Dr. Illan. All of the staff have been personable, professional, and accommodating. State of the art facility! Joint Commission International accredited. Everything has been wonderful.
Eddie, Flor, Beto, Fred and Fernando were exceptional. Robert, my driver, I give extra kudos for helping us across the border both ways.

I traveled with my mom for the sleeve surgery. As a companion, I have to say everything has been top notch! The hotel stay is nice. Comfortable beds, spa, workout room and restaurant, as well as convenience store and food near by. The hospital is very nice as well. The food at the cafeteria was delicious and Beto was too kind to take me to get the best street tacos I’ve ever had!!! Thank you Beto, and thank you to all the amazing staff and Drs for making this a wonderful experience. Fred shared a personal story with me that gave me chills. Such genuine people. The surgery went very smoothly. My mom is high risk & is doing a lot better than expected. Here’s to a new & healthy life for my mom.

I had a great experience at hospital bc. My Doctor was amazing, all the people were so nice and helpful. Beto and Fred and Fernando and Sal, Flor and Carlos were so helpful and many others I can't remember all their names. The surgeon Dr. Jail Illan was awesome, Dr. Thanya Cruz was my anesthesiologist. They were amazing. I so glad I finally made this choice to change my life.

This has been such a pleasant experience. I was a little nervous coming by myself but once I was here they definitely put my nerves at ease. If you are considering getting any wls this is definitely the place to come. Everyone was EXTREMELY friendly and made me feel like family. From the moment I was picked up from the airport, to the time I arrived at the hospital. Dr. Jalil, Flor, Beto, Fred, Carolina, all my other nurses were so amazing they took very good care of me. Even better than a lot of the hospitals in the U.S. Thank you all so much for such wonderful care and for changing my life! Thank you.

Let me tell you about Hospital BC in Tijuana Mexico 🇲🇽. The staff here is amazing, kind, attentive, and support every step of the way. The process and approval time was very quick. Staff from every department kept in constant communication with me to make you aware of each step and to be there if I had any questions or concerns. Beto, one of my care givers was amazing, he cared for me like I was family, he gave me a hug before surgery and told me I was not alone. Beto contacted several of my family members to give them an update after my surgery! Dr. Illan was very knowledgeable and gave me all the information I inquired about and was kind enough to take a picture with me. Flor Lozando my nutritionist is the best and very good at explaining the different meal plan and phases. My hotel stay was great, they provided me with the broth and liquids I could have. I’ve had a great experience here at Hospital BC. Everyone has been nice and accommodating to make us as comfortable as possible. Dr Illan has great bedside manner and really makes you feel confident and comfortable. Beto is a giant teddy bear and has all the answers. Flor is the nutritionist and is as sweet as can be and fun to talk to. Only thing I didn’t know before coming was to bring cash for the cafeteria for your guest and tipping. Also, upgrading our room was worth it. My husband has his own bed to make him more comfortable and able to stretch out. We’ve really enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it to anyone looking into bariatric surgery.
