The facility is clean and comfortable. The staff is professional and courteous. The direct care staff are mostly Spanish speaking (it is Mexico), but there are concierges such as Beto(shout out!) that stay on the unit and help guide you through the process. Good experience, I recommend.

I cannot recommend this bariatric clinic enough! From the moment I began my journey, I felt supported and guided every step of the way. One of the main reasons I chose this clinic was because of its solid accreditation and the overwhelmingly positive reviews—and now, I can confidently add mine to the list.

Henry, the coordinator, was incredible. He promptly connected me with the doctor, clearly explained the entire process, and was always just one phone call away. His availability and reassurance made me feel completely at ease.

Upon arrival at San Diego airport, I was met with after-hours transportation that was punctual and seamless—thank you Jaziel! We were taken to a modern, spacious hotel where both my partner and I were accommodated. The bariatric-friendly meals were included, and...

What a wonderful experience! The staff were all so professional and kind. The facility itself is clean and comfortable! I definitely recommend Dr. Jail Illan and all of his staff to whomever is considering changing their lives with bariatric surgery.

At first I was nervous about coming to a different country to get my gastric sleeve surgery done but when I arrived everyone has been amazing and very kind the drivers, the receptionist, and all the nurses and doctors each one of them very helpful Luis Merlin and Beto are amazing people and always very attentive.

It's been nothing but a spectacular experience with hospital BC. I came here for a gastric sleeve operation after doing much research. Not only is the care for better than I can receive in the states but it's a fraction of the price truly White glove service from being picked up at the airport with Jaciel and the rest of the transportation team to take me to the hospital for testing my hotel and back to the hospital. Beto has been amazing with helping to guide me and translate since my Spanish is so weak. Talk to you an amazing surgeon and it was a very successful surgery I can't speak highly about the care that you receive here. Coming to the idea of getting surgery i was extremely nervous. But looking into hospitalbc, and doing some research made it a little easier to make this decision.
The staff here were very positive, pleasant to be around and very comforting. A staff member by the name of Beto informed that I would be in and out walking around in no time. This definitely calmed me down and reasured my decision to get the surgery. Sure enough about 8 hours later I'm walking around the halls. I got the gastric sleeve in Feb. 2025 with Hospital BC after having accompanied a friend the year before for a BBL. From the time I got to the hospital I felt at home and knew I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my surgery.
