The Goddard School

It has been a great experience thus far. My son has been making really good progress and loves his teachers. Office staff are always so friendly and helpful.

I think the Goddard School does an excellent job overall. My great-grandson only goes 2 days a week, and I've already seen a big difference in his learning skills My only complaint is when a holiday falls on one of his days, there is no financial compensation, and no offer of another day. I think this is wrong.

Lovely School! Safe, fun, clean and the best staff!!

As a first time mom and a current employee of The Goddard School..I appreciate everything they’ve done for my daughter. I was worried (as every mom usually is) that, with my daughter being premature, she’d have a tough time in a school setting BUT the teachers and directors (to this day) guide her to do the best she can, even though she’s the smallest in her classes. I love being able to check in on her throughout the day as well, given that my classroom is just a few doors down, I am so comfortable with leaving my child in class where I know she will be given the love and care that she needs. I couldn’t thank the staff enough for everything they continue to do for us. They’re truly the best.

I appreciate The Goddard School for providing my child a safe place to learn and play. She’s been cared for there going on 2 years and I cannot wait for the years to come. I love having my daughter attend The Goddard School.

I love the teachers and the atmosphere. My 2 year old is always excited to “go to school” and see his friends. My only concern is the potty training policy. We chose Goddard School partially because they did not require potty training, but they have since changed their policy. Potty training at 3 is not developmentally appropriate for all children and the possibility of being kicked out for something my child isn’t ready for yet is a big stress this year.

I was so nervous as a first-time mom to drop my son off at daycare, but I soon learned that the Goddard School in Clackamas is great. We’ve been using them for over a year now, and we just signed up our expected baby! I can rest assured that my kids will be well cared for and learn a ton along the way, and I love getting daily photos. The directors are super responsive with any concerns, and the general environment is welcoming. Highly recommended!

Best school in happy valley! Amazing teachers and staff!

I was very hesitant to start a day care with the pandemic and the fact that my child has multiple life threatening food allergies. This school was so attentive to our needs, so quick to alert us of any medical concerns and gave us peace of mind when knowing she was safe. The teachers/staff are all so sweet & caring! Our child has learned so much and has become much more independent. We loves the daily pictures and updates throughout the day as well! We are so sad to be leaving Goddard and appreciate everything!

My little man goes to the Goddard School and he absolutely loves it! Most days when I pick him up he’s begging to go back inside and stay longer! It’s his first year in a daycare setting and as an only child it’s been hard to adjust to sharing and working out friend problems, but the school and the teachers have been AMAZING and really helped him through it! I would highly recommend!!

The staff is all amazing, so kind, friendly and welcoming! My daughter absolutely loves going to school everyday and is so excited to tell me about her day when she gets home! They make learning fun and enjoyable and truly care about the children, so happy to have our kiddo going here!

My son started at Goddard at age 2 and went up until he went to Kindergarten, then returned the summer before first grade. He always had fun, he always had great teachers, and I always felt that he was well cared for and safe. I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a reliable, fun, clean environment for their kiddos! We will probably be back next summer. :)

After several years working in the field of early childhood education, I joined Goddard in 2014 as a teacher. I enjoyed working with the children & families, my coworkers, and particularly the willingness and guidance I received from the administration to make my classroom my own.

During my time at Goddard, I had two sons and was lucky enough to bring them to work with me! My oldest son made his way through the entire program before we moved away this summer. The play based, but goal driven curriculum at Goddard was the perfect fit for him. As a long time educator, I know that children learn best through play, but to see the results from a parent’s side has been incredible. My daughter went to The Goddard School from age 2 through 5 and I am so thankful that she did! While she was there she had so much fun learning through play. I loved that the teachers were so focused on helping her be successful as she grew up and moved on to new classrooms. The teachers and staff were family to us and I could tell how much they cared for her by the way she spoke about them.

Every day I received a daily report of what activities she did and we reinforced those learning points at home too. I also LOVED that her teachers sent me photos throughout the day!

She was so prepared for Kindergarten when the time came for her to leave. Her kindergarten teacher mentioned that her social skills were way above many other new students her age. She was able to follow directions, complete simple tasks, etc. I know it was because those behaviors were learned...

I 100% recommend this school! I’m a first time mom and was probably the most skeptical and scared mom on the planet, but everyone here kept my mind at ease when my son started. I never have to worry when he’s there as I know the teachers are very professional and attentive with the kids! They offer so many learning activities and within a couple of weeks, my 1 year old started talking SO much more than before! After much research on other schools in the area, I’m more than happy with my choice!

We love The Goddard School! Our daughter went there from the age of 2.5 to 5.5 and has grown SO much from being there. Our son, who is almost 3, is still there (he started at just 3 months old.) The staff are very involved, attentive to the children, and love what they do. We could not be happier with Goddard School and feel that our kids are in the best environment possible while we are working.

A former Goddard School teacher’s uncensored point of view ...

First and foremost , I consider it an absolute privilege to have worked at The Goddard School in Happy Valley .Not only because of the high standards the owner and directors set for the teachers , but because I myself am a mother . Which gives me a whole other level of love and respect for this school as well as a different perspective of this school in particular .

You see , as parents , we can’t imagine ANYONE loving our children the way we do . We know their cues , what makes them laugh , what makes them sad , what scares them, what comforts them , specific food allergies , food they absolutely love and absolutely hate . We know every single detail about their precious and unique selves . Let me say , taking my kids to their first day of care outside my home was one of my biggest heartaches...

I personally love Goddard school. My older daughter went to this school for a year before started her kinder-garden and there is no reason to not sending her little sister to the same school . The teachers are awesome- I thank Ms Lisa from Grasshopper class room for taking care of both of my daughters. The staffs are friendly. The facility is clean and nice. Especially - school will reach out to us if they don't see the kid check-in to make sure the kid is safe and the family is aware of the absent. Thank you guys, we will miss you.

The Goddard School has a great atmosphere, the staff are extremely friendly and really care about you, your family and you child that attends. They make you feel welcomed right away from the tour all the way through the paperwork process. My son comes home happy everyday and looks forward to going to daycare.

The programs are stimulating for the children and the teachers are attentive and dedicated. My son has been attending since he was 1 years old and he loves it!

This is such a great school. The teachers are amazing. They are always smiling and seem to love their jobs. I’ve seen them deal with difficult behavior with a calm attitude and grace. They create a very caring environment for children to learn in. The school is bright and spotless. The management is amazing. They really are so on top of every detail. The communication is so prompt and professional. This school is in very high demand and justifiably so.

My daughter started Goddard in Happy Valley when she was a little over two years old. She is now almost four. She was not potty trained and was pretty much attached to my side since the day she was born. We hesitated on Goddard because it was so expensive, but after some extensive research on daycare/preschool in Happy Valley, we decided to enroll her in 2 days a week.

The first several days were full of tears during drop off (I was expecting that), but pretty much all smiles during every pick up. She started out in the Frogs classroom where the teachers greeted her every morning with attention and hugs. I can honestly say that I left feeling that my child was in a loving, safe, and supportive environment. In addition, she was potty trained in less than two weeks.

The Goddard School in Clackamas is where I️ can trust 100% leaving the two beautiful loves of my life while I’m working. They have a well trained staff who works really hard making my kids very happy, playing/practicing Spanish , and most of all, in a safe place full of love .
