At Home Therapy of Crystal Coast

I am a 69-year-old female retiree who has stayed fairly active, particularly with gardening, for many years. After the sudden onset of right shoulder pain several months ago, my primary care provider referred me to Joshua Stoufflet. At the time I was experiencing pain for several hours daily and had difficulty using my shoulder for the simplest daily tasks. I also had difficulty getting comfortable for sleep. My quality of life was greatly reduced and for the first time, I “felt my age.”

Josh’s initial physical assessment suggested a rotator cuff injury, so I sought medical attention. An MRI revealed a full thickness tear in my shoulder. My surgeon recommended that I continue the physical therapy and use oral analgesics as needed.

Josh and I have met twice weekly for a graduated program of exercises to improve range of motion, strength, and flexibility. It has made all the difference in my life and mental well-being! After seven months, these three aspects are greatly improved; and I require much less pain medication. I have no trouble sleeping. Most important, there is really no physical task I cannot perform to my satisfaction, because I have learned how to use my shoulder safely, effectively, and without pain.

I cannot imagine what my life would be at this point, were it not for Josh’s guidance and expertise. Thanks to him, I have my life back.
