Upon a friend's recommendation we purchased a Chocolate lab puppy from Iowa Pointing Labs, and we couldn't be any more pleased with our new addition or the experience itself. Our puppy, Cooper, was a surprise for by daughter's 10th birthday. Tim was great with answering questions and with helping me make arrangements so I could fly out from Virginia for pick-up. Copper stayed with us for the first week and then went to a local "Head-start program" (we wanted to make sure my daughter can visit). His trainer is as impressed with him as we are; Cooper has a great temperament; he is smart, easy to train, and well socialized around other dogs and kids. He loves to learn and is eager to please. IPL is producing top-notch puppies, and I will definitely be back when it comes time to get Cooper a playmate. Thank you Tim and IPL for your dedication. We appreciate it!

Got a pup from IPL two years ago and could not be happier. She is a pointing hunting machine plus a great companion dog, have never had a dog as connected to me. 42 pounds of muscle, would have made a great dock dog, absolutely attackes the water. I would recommend IPL to anyone

In Spring 2020 my family and I were searching for a new lab to replace a lab. We found Iowa Pointing Labs online and made contact with Tim. Tim was gracious and helpful. When we met Tim he did a great job of questioning us on what we were looking for in our next pup. He worked with us and put us on a Martin x Abby Faithful litter. After a seemingly long wait, we were able to pick our new family member. We named him Hawkeye Herky! We could not be more pleased with Herky. He is loving, easy to train, and has a drive that won't quit. Several pictures to follow showing his progression from pup to now 8 months old. He, even as a pup, already has had a productive 1st hunting season with no pressure. Excited for Fall 2021 to watch his progression. My wife and I highly recommend Iowa Pointing Labs for your next lab.

For the past thirty years, I always have two gun dogs at a time, typically spaced 6 years apart. Over this period of time, I have had some good dogs and I have had some excellent dogs. Knowing that one of my dogs was getting on in age, I had my eyes on Iowa Pointing Labs “Roman”. Carlos is a two year old black lab, my first from Tim’s kennel, and I couldn’t be more pleased with this dog. He comes exactly as advertised, “a racing motor in the field and a total love in the home”. This pup is super athletic, he will hunt all day and is beyond intelligent, making him breeze to train for hunt trials, on land and in the water.

Without my deposit in, I am anxious to adopt me next four legged family member.

Bear is my 4th pointing lab and by far the best dog I have had. Tim and his team are real professionals and have helped me with training and other advice. I highly recommend the head start program. It really gave Bear the foundation necessary for further training. Overall I highly recommend Iowa Pointing Labs for your next dog!

Did our research and talked with Tim. He confirmed everything I had read about their dogs. Got her two years ago and her training went well with her trainer Matt Neal and she showed great drive and was excellent at her marks. This is her second hunting season and couldnt be more pleased.

She is outstanding. Incredibly athletic - she goes for 4 mile walks in the nature preserve every morning, has learned commands so quickly and is anxious to please. Iowa Pointing Labs has blood lines that are incredible. My first Gauge, 3yrs out of Kellogg Point Doctor Red Max is as solid a hunter as a dog comes. So I got another Jax, 1 yr old out of Super Grits to see if Gauge was just a rare dog. Nope Jax is another great hunter. My friend tell me my IPL labs are some of the best hunting dogs they’ve hunted over. I agree. Thank you Tim and IPL!

Iowa Point Labs have great bloodlines. My Knox has a great on and off switch. He has a strong desire to retrieve and please but can be calm in the house. Absolute great dog!
