I got a new job and decided I should just sell my home and move closer. I talked it over with my family and House Buyers of America’s name was brought up. I spoke to some realtors, mulled around the costs of commissions, and did a lot of research online. Selling through a realtor would mean I’d have to paint the house and then pay a high commission. With the current economic climate, I thought we wouldn’t end up selling the house, realistically, until December. The entire process went great. House Buyers of America was the best company I spoke with overall and I spoke to about 15 other companies that do the same thing. It was the smoothest settlement I’ve been through and I’ve been to hundreds of settlements. I used to sell real estate and commercial properties. I have never been to a smoother settlement in my life. The title company gave me a preliminary number for the closing, we got to the table, the paperwork matched the preliminary number, we closed, I walked out and that afternoon I had the wire in my bank account. It was perfect – it really really was. And this was a tough transaction because I was the executor of this inherited home with 4 other siblings to guide and make happy throughout.

I wanted to get out of the rental house business so when I saw a House Buyers of America Commercial on TV I decided to call.  I figured they were sufficiently funded if they had a commercial and so much internet presence. I liked how very particular the details about my house were noted during the process as opposed to others who don’t know what they’re looking for.  House Buyers has a very systematic approach to buying a home. But it was quick and thorough.

House Buyers of America was really really good – everyone did great! When my wife passed away, I couldn’t afford the house anymore and when I checked the mail, House Buyers had sent me a letter. It was exactly what I needed to do – sell it and not have to spend any more money on it. The whole process was quick.

As a buyer agent, I would definitely sell another House Buyer home. Their people are really on top of things and want to make sure the settlement process goes smoothly. My settlement coordinator, in particular, stayed on top of the closing process – making sure that everyone, including the lender were doing what they are supposed to be doing. They are all quick to pick up the phone and answer emails. The transaction worked out very well for us.

I got a letter in the mail from House Buyers of America and it looked for real, so I called the number and was shocked that I was called back on the same exact day. It was time for me to move since my husband had recently passed away - I needed to sell my house right away. After speaking with the Real Estate consultant, I knew this was the way to go.
