Hidden Fence of Minnesota

I had contacted an underground fence company and put off installing as the cost was too high. They had great customer service and promised a system that was inventive, reliable, and sustainable. I didn’t go with them. I noticed a sign in my neighbor’s yard (Hidden Fencing) and called them. I don’t get along with this neighbor, so I didn’t want any conflict in the frequency or product. Initially I figured, if it was good enough for him, it should be good enough for me. After speaking with a representative from the company, all my concerns were answered. He brought to my attention dog behavior that I wasn’t aware of-like dashing out the front door, zones for back and front yard areas, etc. The price was less than the first company I contacted and within my budget. The system(s) are not cheap but compared to chain link or privacy fences it was a better option for me. I heard horror stories of the dog being traumatized by the collar and having lasting effects. Some dogs even refused to go outside. So, I decided to put up a string attached to wood stakes. My dog obeyed the boundary---if there wasn’t anything tempting him on the other side, like a dog. Since my neighbor had a dog-this was not a solution but showed me my dog can be trained. The training with the collar was EZ! Not only did I walk him around the boundary but also played ball and other activities. If the ball went out of the yard, he would hear the beep from the collar, immediately sit and wait for me to retrieve the ball. Only once did he feel uncomfortable when crossing over the wire. He never crossed over again. Well-one time, when I didn’t realize the battery was dead in the collar and his favorite four-legged pal walked by. I strongly recommend this company. The installers went over the process with me a few times because I just didn’t understand it. They were very good at explaining the install, the training and came back if needed. The follow up emails after the install made me feel like I was part of a family, not just a customer.
