Update 10/10/23: So after I posted this, we got a third dog “Kobe” and of course got him trained with Epic. My review holds just as true as when I posted this! The trainers at EDA are as invested in our puppys’ success as we are, give them a call if you need dog training!

We loved the training that Epic Dog Academy provided!

We initially took our 4-5-month-old Husky, "Daisy", there in April of 2022 and signed up for the "Honor Roll" which will give her the on-leash and off-leash training, lifetime training classes, and in-home visits.

When we first adopted her we were first-time puppy owners, and very apprehensive about making sure we had a sound communication system with her, given her breed and temperament.

I absolutely love our trainer, Miss Grace! She’s knowledgeable, kind, and great at explaining things. I cannot rave enough about Grace at Epic Dog Academy. Our 1.5 yr old shepherd attended EDA for the two week training and she came out a different dog in the best way possible. She needed structure and discipline, as she was not trained prior to us getting her, nor was she properly socialized with other dogs. Grace at EDA has trained our fur baby to listen to commands, all while still being the loving and cuddly girl that she is. We no longer dread taking her around other dogs, as she contains herself and is no longer reactive.
As Grace had told us, training your dog is a life long commitment, and we can attest to that. Our doggie needs the constant structure and training sessions that we provide for her every day. For anyone stressed out about walking their dog in public, this is my experience with Epic Dog Academy. I called Epic Dog Academy when my golden retriever, Marty, was a little over 1 year old. I was being pulled down to the ground on walks from his protective, excited lunging and jumping. He would bark so loud my ears would ring and when guests came in the house and he wouldn’t stop for anything. He jumped on the fence in the backyard too seeking attention from my neighbors! There was no way to exercise him and he became overweight very quickly from attempted “treat training”. Which was really just me bribing him to stop, and he would go right back to it once he got the treat. The day I called epic Marty had ripped the lead out of my hand and cut my finger open at the park. It was a nightmare to have an animal I love so much behaving as if I didn’t exist and he couldn’t hear me... Read more >

Dropping him off for two weeks broke this mommy’s heart, but he had a great time with his Trainer, Matt! He learned A LOT, too! EDA kept in touch with me by phone and by text and also sent me pictures! My dog was not only loving the experience, but he appeared to be proud to learn more! EDA is awesome about taking really great care of him as well. With private “suites” for each dog, they can rest on wonderful beds, too! When he graduated his training, I got to pick him up it was a wonderful homecoming experience! Matt showed me a lot of commands that he knows and went over assume details that we needed to know. Thank you Epic Dog Academy and Grace for transforming my sweet and feisty GiGi. I am not sure what you did, but she has returned home a different dog. She is sweeter, much calmer, and willing to follow direction most of the time. She has a lot more confidence in herself and does not cry or whine when she is left alone for minutes at a time. Lex is a very large puppy and he is still. Only 2 years old. He learned alot and isn't done yet.

This review is for their grooming services only. Took my doggo to get groomed by Maddie who did a great job with him. He is a rescue and is very skittish and has a ton of anxiety so I had many reservations taking him in anywhere to get groomed. When they called me (not sure who) the person was very kind and reassured me that their groomers have experience with skittish dogs. He came out looking great and not showing signs of stress. We are very thankful for Maddie and their patience with our anxious guy. Read more >

Simply the best place to take your dog not just for training but for grooming as well! You and your fur baby are greeted immediately always giving you a sense family and a even better sense of peace knowing your dog will be well taken care of while in their care! They remember my dogs needs of needing hypoallergenic shampoo for her sensitive skin and my dog always loves all the people at Epic Dog Academy as she gets excited once she becomes familiar with the area as we pull up to the academy. My family brought home a 10 week old GoldenDoodle and knew it would definitely be different than having a Shih Tzu around. Wanting to help our pup acclimate to our home and gain important obedience skills, we set out on a search for dog training companies here in Temecula and in San Diego, as well.
During our search we came across Epic's website and we were immediately impressed by the outstanding reviews both former and current customers wrote about the company. I have spent thousands on trainers, Epic Dog Academy by far is the best in So-Cal. I wish I had found them first before throwing my money away at others. The results I have with my fur babies supersede all other training companies. They follow through, this isnt a ok your dog is trained have a good life. They are still here for me well after the boatd and train session. Group classes twice a month and even went above and beyond and helped me with a training session to bathe my stubborn Shepherd who previously was a monster at the dog wash.
