Epic Dog Academy

After only two weeks of training at Epic Dog Academy, my dog's behavior has gone from my dog being wholly unable to be within 30 ft of other dogs (without immediately bolting towards them aggressively) to being relatively quiescent while other dogs are present. It's a night-and-day difference. I previously had sent my dog to another longer and more expensive boarding/training service (I won't say their name, but let's just say they are a "special" service, hint, hint) and they had refused to do any significant socialization of my dog, which is why I had taken him there in the first place. With Epic Dog Academy, however, their owner pretty much guaranteed that they would be able to manage my dog's aggressive behaviors, and they put their money where their mouth is.. I have to admit, I was incredulous to a certain degree, but I was deaperate so I gave Epic a try....

This place is great, the staff is so friendly and you can tell they're invested in the safety and wellbeing of your dog. The board and train program is excellent and worked wonders with our puppy. Highly recommend

Great experience! I can definitely see the improvement in Teddy is so well behaved he has learned so much and we also learned from
Teddy, I am glad I chose you guys! Olivia, his trainer was great, she communicated with my Mom via the App, phone and updated pictures of Teddy while in training. She also stopped by my Moms house to follow up and see how Teddy was doing in his new home. Although we have not been able to take him to group sessions we are definitely looking forward on attending a class soon.

We brought our 10 month old Cane Corso to Epic for boarding school. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our trainer Ash was amazing. She sent us photos and updates on training daily. She also answered all our questions very quickly. Our pup came home a different dog and absolutely loves training. It is amazing to see how much he changed in two weeks. We are very happy with the services we received at Epic and would recommend them to friends and family.

We’ve been coming to Epic Dog Academy for over a year now and we truly can’t recommend them enough! We first found them after adopting our Pomeranian, Katsu, who struggled with anxiety and aggression toward other dogs. We enrolled him in their board and train program and saw incredible results. He came home more disciplined and more confident. He also seemed much happier! The training they provided made a huge difference for him. Our consistency at home helped reinforce everything he learned.

Since then we’ve continued bringing all three of our dogs to EDA for grooming. Their groomers are absolutely wonderful! Our other two dogs are not easy to handle. Our older corgi, Flapjack, has always struggled with grooming. Even nail trims used to require multiple people and sometimes our vet. At EDA he does amazingly well. It still surprises us every time!

Grayson is my first dog. Boxer breed, high energy, eager to please, clever and so stubborn I sometimes think we're related by blood. Natural good boy, but he won't fake it for anyone. Our experience with Epic has been great.

Depending on your level of separation anxiety, you might feel communication is lacking, but you are welcome to reach out directly for an update. It's very evident to me that the time and attention was spent on my dog. After 2 weeks boarding all of the work I already put in has clearly been reinforced. It's amazing to see him so attentive while I'm giving him commands, but watching him not bark or jump on people is actually insane.

I'm sure every training journey will have its own challenges. Ours has been 5 stars and looking forward to working with them more.

Olivia and the team did an excellent job communicating what my dog learned and how I can continue reinforcing the training at home. I really appreciated how patient and supportive they were in answering my questions and making sure I felt confident continuing the training myself.

We recused Lulu from the shelter, she was dropped off at night at the night drop. She was abused & growling & nipping. She went for training with Erin & she did a great job with her. She doesn’t nip any more & still learning all the commands. But we’ll be working with her at the group training on Saturday’s. We reached out to EDA because we wanted to start out right with our new Corgi puppy. We knew right away that Wally, our puppy, was bright and that we weren’t.

EDA has been fantastic. Their board and train program was thorough, consistent, and transparent. We missed our dog like crazy while she was there but EDA was deeply committed to her success and we never had to wonder if she was in good hands. Their ongoing support through group classes and in-home training sessions has been incredibly valuable as well.

We recently adopted an older dog and it's been so cool to see her personality evolve with the confidence she's gained through training. She's happier, healthier, more self assured, more curious and explorative. Their trainers are very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about working with animals. We did the two week board and train, which seemed to have been a good experience for our 8 month old rescue. We’ve seen some improvement in his behavior but it’s a process and we’re still in it. Make sure you’re willing to put the work in at home to make the whole thing worth it.

Epic did an amazing job with my dog. She was very much out of control. She was biting, jumping, grabbing anything she could find. She has turned into a nonbiting dog that actually minds! I think they have done a great job. I tried on my own but I was unsuccessful. I am still working with her but now she pays attention to me.

I adopted Sookie, a two-year-old bully mix, from the shelter, and within her first week home she began showing signs of separation anxiety. I was nervous and didn’t know what to do, so I reached out to Epic Dog Academy. They scheduled a same-day consultation, which immediately made me feel supported.

Sookie started the Honor Roll Program the following week. Throughout her training, her trainer Erin kept me consistently updated on Sookie’s progress. Toward the end of the two weeks, Erin recommended keeping Sookie a little longer because she needed some extra help — and I truly appreciated that honesty and care. If Epic Dog Academy didn’t genuinely care, they could have easily sent her home, especially with the holidays coming up, but instead they did what was best for Sookie.

I am beyond impressed with the work that Epic Dog Academy has done and continues to do. Alicia was Gigi's trainer for the 2-week program. Gigi learned so much and has shown amazing improvements. Ash came over to do the home visit and helped teach/show me how to implement the training exercises and commands. I realized that I needed training just as much as Gigi. Gigi listens, responds to her training collar, walks like a champ on the leash, and has learned to play gentler with our other pup who is much, much smaller. I love the option for continued group class that is offered bi-weekly. The socialization and continued practice with implementing the training has been a blessing. This has definitely been worth the investment and experience. Thank you Epic Dog Academy!
