Condor moved my family and I from Dallas to Chicago. Not only were the staff respectful, but they helped me all the way through my move. My experience with Condor was both positive and frustrating, which is why I am granting 3 of 5 stars. Dusti was our sales representative, and she was very professional and timely throughout the process. I appreciated the transparency and estimated total price quote that Condor provided upfront, opposed to many other moving companies who simply tell you an hourly rate. We had no issue with the movers or the quality of the move (nothing was damaged or lost and only minor scuffs to the walls). The communication prior to the move itself was very poor, however. We had to initiate every communication in order to determine when our move window was going to be, and had to continue following up when the movers did not show up during the window (nearly two hours late). Overall they got the job done. However I am not very happy with it. They charge you for use of tape, and they use and waste as much tape as they want. This is just a way for them to charge you more money.
They picked up a day early, wasn't a huge problem, they told me if they pick up a day early I could receive my stuff sooner. They were well aware of what day I would be able to receive my items and ensured me that would work. However my items were delivered 2 days before I was even in the same state. I got a call from the driver saying that they would arrive Friday at 7pm. I would not be in the new home until Sunday. The man on the phone did not give me a choice. I was forced to receive the items when I was not there. Thankfully I was able to have the homeowners show up to meet the drivers. I don't have a review at this time for your company. I do know that my family and I were done an injustice by your staff and company just as so many others in reading your review on the Better Business Bureau website. We are a family who still believes in the power of prayer and that as scripture says according to(Romans 12:19). We are also very aware of 1st Timothy 6:10. There is also a story you should read concerning greed. Acts chapter 5 tells a story about how God killed a husband and his wife for lying about money. Don't let this happen to you. Be honest and do good by people and The Most High will reward your company. Moving is stressful enough. I hired Condor thinking I was getting a great rate and professional service. I was wrong on both of those instances. I obtained a telephone quote by an employee who told me that in five years with the company, she has only misquoted a couple times. She was sure of the quote and said I did not need an in person estimate. Come moving day, I was in the new city due to work. My wife remained back to oversee the move. Unbeknownst to her was my reasonable quote. She signed the new authorization and the truck was loaded. I have moved many times and know that the heaviest items are loaded first. Also, smaller items are used to fill in gaps. I later learned this technique was not used, my antique grand piano was one of the last items loaded in the rear where there was going to be the most movement in the truck from the travel.

We were quoted a price of $7,700 maximum to do some packing, move our things into storage and then deliver them a month later. I called a couple of weeks ahead of our confirmed move in date and was assured that they would deliver on August 20. My wife called again on August 19 just to be sure they were ready snd they informed us that they were running a week behind. Condor finally finished unloading everything on August 30. We had countless items broken including a very expensive poster headboard which is costing us $489.00 to have repaired. Plates were just stacked together without paper between them. Heavy items were placed in large boxes with delicate items. Some things are still missing.
The final bill for the move was almost $16,000 and I had to pay it before they would deliver.

Would never use this company again and do not recommend this moving company to anyone. They said they would send a 3 person crew during pick up and only sent a 2 person crew which took a very long time. The drop off was even worse. They sent a 3 person crew but they damaged almost every piece of my furniture in some way, shape or form. One of the crew members used my garage freezer to store his drinks without my permission and damaged it in the process. I would have let him use it had he asked but he didnt. The drop off crew was supposed to go to my storage and pick up furniture there but they said that was not in their plan even though that was originally requested. They changed delivery companies on us without telling me, which resulted in oniy 2 people coming instead of 3. Therefore it took longer and cost me considerably more for the move.
