We lived in our house for 38 years, then moved to a larger home that we renovated at the time of the move. Condor Moving Systems moved all of our furniture into the garage and lower level. After 64 years in the same house my mother was finally ready to make the move to a condo. It was so hard to make decisions and down size and then the worry over how to move. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY... they are SCAMMERS! They are giving low estimates (low-balling) to get your business, then hustling you after they load the bulk of your items! Here's my story in a nutshell. I got an estimate of just a little over $12,000 to ship my items from Texas to Virginia. I told them the size of my apartment and all four storage units. I told them that the storage units are full to the max. AND I sent them very clear photos of everything. In other words, I gave them FULL DISCLOSURE. My agent, Sarah, totally misjudged the space needed. They used a 28 foot truck which was only enough space for half my items. When we got to storage, I was told I would have to pay an additional $5,000. Sarah had previously assured me I wouldn't have to pay anything extra... if anything I would pay less. Both the packing and loading crew were working diligently to complete the project on time. Unfortunately I cannot remember the names of these professionals. The unloading crew really hustled to complete the unloading within a reasonable amount of time. The unloading crew were very thoughtful and careful not to damage any of our property. This review is so long overdue. This is the absolute worst moving company I have ever experienced. They will break everything, even the stuff they force you to have packaged by them that YOU have to pay for. They lost the legs to my bed ($370), broke a cabinet ($350), my glasswear ($100), smashed my TV ($100), broke flower pots, smashed my night stands, and put 2 large holes in the wall in the apartment I was moving out of. How much was I entitled to for compensation ? $100. Honestly it’s laughable. I’m here to warn you that if you are someone who cares about your property, and needs a dispute with to be resolved in under 7 months DO NOT book condor moving systems. My experience with Condor Moving Systems was very good, even though the conditions for my move were very stressful - moving stuff from a storage locker (my old home) to my 3rd floor apartment (no elevator). I found the Condor Moving Systems to be very professional and hardworkers. I had a very heavy sofabed and was worried about how they would get it up to my apartment and whether it would fit. We used Condor Moving Systems on Black Friday based on their positive reviews here and after I posted my initial review in Google, expressing our not so positive experience, Mario from the company (who I had talked to before for arranging the move) called us first thing next morning. After talking to him I decided to revise my review. We had a kitchen appliance damaged in the move and the total move had taken longer than initial estimates. But Mario was super nice and handled the case very professionally and followed up immediately to make sure we are compensated for the damaged item and the extra time. I believe customer satisfaction is his major priority and the way he dealt with our case is not something you would see too often these days especially in service industry. I had Mario and team do a packing job at one apartment and then move the boxes the next day. Mario was great to work with on the arrangements (booking elevators on two ends at month end and then coordinating the truck could have been a hassle) and they packed on Sunday with the move scheduled for Monday. Everything went smoothly on Sunday, I even had some input from the guys into the "tough" decision as to whether I really needed 4 different frying pans (answer...I don't), so we were able lighten the load! Boxes were labeled as to where they needed to be placed in the new apartment which made things so easy the next day. Want big strong men in your house, sweating, huffing and puffing. If so then call Condor Moving Systems. They will do all the hard work for you, and no job is too hard, they will work very hard for their money. We have moved house now around 4 times and we have used Condor Moving Systems every time, its because we want the consistently good and hassle free service. Our last move was a hard one, they had to carry every bit of furniture, whiteware etc down a long steep driveway, into our new house which has a shorter but steep driveway and up stairs. And they make it look so easy ! As well as furniture removal they also offer a packing and cleaning service to make moving even easier.
