Cleaning for a Reason holds a very special place in my heart. In 2018, while I was undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, I was fortunate enough to receive cleaning services through this wonderful organization.

When you're fighting cancer, even the simplest everyday tasks can feel overwhelming. Having someone come into my home and take one responsibility off my shoulders meant more than words can express. It wasn't just about having a clean home. It was about kindness, compassion, and knowing that someone cared during one of the most difficult times of my life.

Today, my journey has come full circle. As a breast cancer survivor and the owner of Better Bee Services, I now have the privilege of being a Cleaning for a Reason provider, helping others who are facing their own cancer journeys.

One area we feel could be improved is the vetting and preparation process before appointments. We’ve occasionally arrived at homes without working power or water, or with active pest issues, even though we send the requirements to the patient ahead of time. We’ve also experienced homes being kept at very warm temperatures. We completely understand that cancer treatments can make patients feel cold and that comfort is important, but very high temperatures can make it difficult for our cleaning teams to work safely and comfortably.
