Really great place to learn how to actually SPEAK Hebrew ;)
You pracrice lots of vocabulary that's useful in everyday life - and slang too. The courses are offered at different times of day, on various levels and with varying intensity, so it's great for people who work as well. It goes quite fast so you will need to practice on your own and do your homework to get the most out of it. Class size is usually just the right amount ;)

I am on my 3rd course with Citizen Cafe and still loving it! Teachers are great, style is creative and engaging. Who thought learning could actually be fun!

I have had an excellent experience with Citizen Cafe TLV. Their focus is on speaking so the classes are very interactive and designed to teach you the common words you use every day to interact with people and get things done. Shay has been an outstanding teacher who clearly cares about the progress of his students. He infuses our classes with Israeli cultural understanding as well as the necessary vocabulary and grammar needed to speak Hebrew.

Citizen Cafe is a great Tel Aviv ulpan for anyone looking to learn Hebrew in a fun environment. It's not rigid like other language schools I have attended in the past and the Hebrew teachers there use an approach that doesn't require wrote learning and this helps a lot.

This creative, forward thinking Ulpan has really helped me acquire the proper language tools and confidence to speak Hebrew outside of the classroom. Since starting here, I feel competent in my Hebrew speaking in the workplace with Israeli colleagues, in cafes, bars, restaurants, markets, and even when conversing and texting with Israeli friends. I am very grateful that I discovered this unique approach to Ulpan.

At Citizen Cafe you have so much fun - you don't realise how much you are really learning!
If you want to learn the language as it is spoken on the street - this is the best and a really engaging way to do it.

I’m completing my first class at Citizen Cafe and i think it was a really great class. It is helping me to speak the language - i started at the yellow level so already had some background, but i’m really able to carry on a conversation now, albeit a simple one. I don’t have the time for an intensive daily ulpan and this fits perfectly into my schedule. The teachers are really good and teach you all the useful slang too. I highly recommend this ulpan....and i’m already signed up for the next level....

citizen cafe is so much fun - i am genuinely excited to go to class (and as someone who's definitively NOT a morning person, that means a lot). practical methodology combined with great teachers & awesome classmates. the best.

As well as the school being fun I'm also learning a lot! I studied in a private Ulpan before so I came into OOLpan knowing the basics. My issue was all the Hebrew I knew never left my head, I wasn't confident in speaking and I felt stuck. OOlpan is with small classes of other students who are at your same level as you so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I did! After my first semester I see a huge improvement in my Hebrew!! Not just in the volume of vocabulary and Hebrew I know, but my confidence I'm speaking outside of class has grown huge amounts. I was always afraid of speaking and getting things wrong but now i find myself jumping in and trying to speak whenever I can to whoever I can! Aside from the Hebrew I have to mention how get the school is. I laugh so much with my class and teachers and look forward to going to my next lesson. The non teaching staff are also amazing...

I loved my first semester, now starting with the second. Great teacher, great concept! It's so much fun and I feel much more confident talking.
