Chubby Trout

My husband and I visited chubby trout tonight with our little 5 and a half month baby and my sister and brother in law. It is Valentine’s Day and we did not make reservations. We waited 2 and a half hours for a table. We knew it would be this way anywhere we went on such short notice so we didn’t mind the wait. We went inside about the last 20 minutes of our wait and I observed the hostesses greeting people and being so apologetic for the wait. They were so concerned about having to turn people away. They were so sweet and friendly. They were slammed and kept apologizing for the wait. None of them showed that they were overwhelmed. I was already so impressed at how they were handling themselves. Finally we got sat and our waitress was Liz. I was a server for many years and I truly loved that job and the people I had the privilege to serve. Liz was AMAZING! She explained she also had...

Tiffany was our server we came in for Valentine’s Day, and we had the most marvelous meal and she was so attentive but not to the point of being irritating or bothersome. We will definitely be back and I would probably say that if Tiffany is working, we would request her section.

Tiffany was our waitress and she was wonderful! So sweet and kind!Very knowledgeable of the menu and what her favorites were and why. She made our visit fun!

We came here for a valentines dinner, even though we didn’t have a reservation they were able to accommodate us and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Food was amazing. Prime rib was delicious. This is our favorite go to date night restaurant. Tiff our waitress was very good and fast with everything. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Absolutely delicious food and excellent service! The Chubby Trout was juicy and full of flavor, the coconut shrimp were incredible and unique, and the Volcano Sushi was a true explosion of taste. Lalo was very kind and attentive, our waitress was amazing, and the cozy atmosphere made it even better. We’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been bringing my family for a while now. Atmosphere is great and food is awesome. Took my family from out of town today for lunch today and our server Kennedy was excited to have us back as customers. Kennedy goes above and beyond for service and really makes it welcoming by remembering what we typically order. We always order a few of the Volcano rolls! Thank you Kennedy!

Our waitress Amanda was amazing. The food was terrific. We stumbled on the restaurant as we were exploring Elkhart. We are from Noblesville IN and we will be back for this restaurant. We got there early and when we left there was a line. The seared ahi tuna was the best we have had in IN....the sushi looked amazing but we didn't have that. I had a heimo and lobster ravioli off their rotation menu which was fabulous. They had a bunch of gluten free options for my husband. If you are questioning I would suggest this restaurant highly. Thanks Amanda for a terrific first experience. Can't wait for our next trip up to eat there again

Had a wonderful date night out with my wife recently at Chubby Trout. Food was delicious and plentiful. Our server, Tiffany was very nice and knowledgeable. She made great suggestions on the sushi & our main course. My wife actually said to me, I like her, she's very nice. We don't make it over to Elkhart often enough to dinner but we should make more of an effort to do it more often. Chubby Trout has never disappointed us in the times that we have been there.

I have eaten here many times & the food is amazing! The staff is incredible & will answer any questions you may have. They are very knowledgeable about the menu & give great recommendations! If going here for dinner, make sure to check out their dinner specials! I ordered the Beef Spare Ribs last night. AMAZING! They also have a very n8ce selection of different kinds of Sushi! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

The Chubby Trout did not disappoint!! I obviously ordered the Chubby Trout which was absolutely amazing! Our waiter Tanner was also amazing courteous kind and attentive. Great job Tanner what a fantastic experience !! 5star

Very good. Steak was great! The loaded prime wedges were very good! And if you still have room for dessert, the Reese's peanut butter pie is great!

Liz was our server. She was incredible. Very attentive while understanding we were dining with old friends and going to be at the table longer than most people I wood go back for her service alone. Food was outstanding too.
