It was pretty good! We're from North Carolina, so having cornmeal on our fish is not something we're used to, but we tried their mix. When you go ask for Haley! She is an amazing server and the best server we've had at a restaurant since we've been here!!

Our waitress Haley, was amazing! As first time guests she made us feel right at home. The food was good. I gave 4 stars only because we are not fans of cornmeal on our fish. However, the fish wasn't saturated with the breading and was pretty tasty. I even ordered some sushi to go. We will be back, and hopefully we will get Haley again.

My husband and I popped in here for lunch this afternoon. Loved the look of the place - clean and smelling delish when you walk in! The food was great and the service was stellar.

With only one server on staff, the food was served hot and the drinks were timed just right! We tried the Loaded Prime Wedges as appetizer, I ordered the Blue Gill Basket, and hubby had the Chubber burger. Any of these we would order again. Glad we drove 30 minutes out of our way to find the place. More than happy to return whenever we pass through Elkhart. Well worth it!

Shout out to the Chubby Trout Crew! Saturday Nights are always busy where ever you go, however this night they were bombarded with not 1 but 2 huge parties of 10 plus people! Our waitress was upfront and honest from the moment we sat down and informed us with the short staff and big parties it would be a longer of a wait and she apologized. I was ok with the wait as we ate here plenty of times. She was on top of making sure we had plenty to drink and kept checking in! Amazing service Katie! The staff was overwhelmed but did amazing! Being short staffed is always hard and these times are tough! So glad we chose to come to Chubby!!! Great Job 👏
