I have 3 children 16, 6, and 4, and the two younger kiddos don’t know anything other than Childrens Lighthouse. This school/daycare is their second home and a place they love, enjoy, and look forward to spending time with their friends and teachers alike. Both children have been at Lighthouse since infant and my 6 year old has ventured her way through every stage graduating from this wonderful school. Now she is in 1st grade and has done incredible in elementary school due to Childrens Lighthouse curriculum and the staff guiding her through social skills and how to effectively communicate with peers. My youngest is still here and is excited to go to school in the mornings in addition to not wanting to leave when I pick him up. The fact that my daughter is thriving now, I have high hopes for my son when he also enters elementary school, and will continue to give kudos to lighthouse for setting my children up for success. My daughter still attends on holidays and/or when her elementary school is closed i.e. spring break, Christmas break, etc. and she counts down those days she can spend with her best friends at Lighthouse.
Now, I am not saying I have never had a question or concern but when I do the Lighthouse team is fully trained and have the utmost customer service skills to address any situation that has ever come up. Their responses help educate me as the parent in accordance to policies and guidelines parallel to the situation at hand. The beautiful thing surrounding enrolling your child at Lighthouse is that the staff takes you and your child’s needs seriously. My favorite part of having my children here is that the owners, Mark and Dana, have created this atmosphere where the employees completely understand that as a parent I am trusting them with the #1 most important things in my life which are my children and their well-being! As a parent I have always felt like I have to advocate for my children because nobody else will. I have found this to be incorrect because Childrens Lighthouse fiercely advocates for them and my children feel loved and know their voice matters at Lighthouse.
Here’s the deal- I have scavenged and visited 20 other daycares in the DFW metroplex to decipher which facility I felt comfortable with caring for my children. I didn’t care how far the drive was because I wanted to be at peace while I was at work and not worry. Childrens lighthouse is where I landed 6 years ago and I still stand by my decision and has been validated over and over again through the years. I do not wish to name drop but what I saw at the other daycares in DFW would make your jaw drop- from cleanliness issues, to safety hazards, and even encountered a few situations where I set up a tour and appeared to be bother and sensed a lack of care/professionalism from their employees. When it came to touring Childrens Lighthouse I couldn’t have gotten a better feeling in addition to the competitive prices I found at Lighthouse as well.
I apologize for the long winded review but I truly feel that the employees at Lighthouse have become mine and my children’s family and I will be forever grateful for the impact they have had on our lives!
Mark and Dana are top-notch owners, the director Amy is incredibly intuitive and involved, and the front desk staff Brianna, Nicolle, and Blanca couldn’t be any more supportive and helpful to both parents and children. There are too many teachers to list but they are incredible as well, and they all know my kiddos because we have been at Lighthouse for so long! Another great piece of insight is that there is minimal turnover here as opposed to other daycare businesses which makes my momma heart happy because structure is very important to me. Last but not least, I love watching the cameras to give me a little glimpse into their school life throughout the day and gives me even more peace of mind.
