If zero stars were an option, that’s what I would choose. This facility is not equipped to properly care for young children. In Room 7, children are “disciplined” by being yelled at and physically dragged to a corner for time-out. On multiple occasions during drop-off and pick-up, I witnessed teachers yelling at the children. Through the cameras, I often saw my child covering her ears during the day. She would also come home saying that “the teacher was very, very angry.”
There is absolutely no reason a professional should be telling a child, “Sit down or I’m going to whoop you,” especially in front of parents. It is also unacceptable to respond with “I don’t care” when a child is expressing a need.
Beyond the disciplinary concerns, there appears to be no structured curriculum in place. During the week my child attended, I monitored the classroom cameras and did not once observe a teacher reading to the children or engaging them in crafts or structured learning activities. The children remained seated at tables for extended periods, with books placed in front of them as if they were expected to read independently.
My child came home overwhelmed and sad each day and frequently cried in the mornings because she did not want to go to school.
The environment felt chaotic, with excessive yelling and no meaningful learning taking place. If you value your child’s education and overall well-being, I strongly recommend avoiding this facility.
