Children's Lighthouse of Schertz

I was really nervous about going back to work after my son was born but they made me way more comfortable than I could have ever imagined. We originally tried a different daycare but was not a good fit. Glad we found this one. He was very comfortable with them within in the first week of being here. The pictures and camera access puts you at ease. He has now moved up rooms and still loving. They are very communicative.

We could not be happier with this daycare! Our 1 yr old is in the infant room and the teachers have been so accommodating and caring. It is clear that everyone there enjoys what they do and truly loves the kids they take care of. The front admin staff are amazing as well, and it makes me feel good that they all know and love my child by name even though they aren’t her teachers.

My child comes back nearly every day with some new knowledge.
The staff are all great people. Have nothing but good things to say about them all.
If I could add stars to these 5, I absolutely would.
My wife and I were very reluctant to leave our little girl in the hands of others, but we have been nothing short of elated by the care she has received from this place.
I would recommend 100% for anyone who wants hands-on, excellent care for their baby/babies.

Both of my kids have attended this children’s lighthouse. The teachers are friendly and attentive, The administration upfront is always planning cute things for the kids, and overall I’ve just always been happy and comfortable sending my kids there.

If zero stars were an option, that’s what I would choose. This facility is not equipped to properly care for young children. In Room 7, children are “disciplined” by being yelled at and physically dragged to a corner for time-out. On multiple occasions during drop-off and pick-up, I witnessed teachers yelling at the children. Through the cameras, I often saw my child covering her ears during the day. She would also come home saying that “the teacher was very, very angry.”

There is absolutely no reason a professional should be telling a child, “Sit down or I’m going to whoop you,” especially in front of parents. It is also unacceptable to respond with “I don’t care” when a child is expressing a need.

Beyond the disciplinary concerns, there appears to be no structured curriculum in place. During the week my child attended, I monitored the classroom cameras and...

Coming off Maternity Leave had me more anxious than it did with my first born. Likely because I was older and I just didn't consider as much back then. Finding Lighthouse was a blessing. Laura and Irma in room 1 have made me feel SO much more comfortable in leaving my baby to go back to work. My daughter LOVES them and smiles every morning I drop her off. So thankful for them and this lovely spot - Worth every penny!

Love Children’s Lighthouse Schertz! My LO is thriving in room 3!

I cannot express how grateful we are for Children’s Lighthouse! From the moment we enrolled our son, we felt welcomed and at ease. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, always going above and beyond to nurture each child’s individual needs.

The environment is bright, engaging, and filled with a variety of educational activities that keep the kids excited to learn and explore. My son has grown so much in just a few months, both socially and academically.

Additionally, the communication from the staff is excellent; we receive regular updates and feedback about our son’s progress as well as photos. I highly recommend Children’s Lighthouse to any parent looking for a safe and enriching place for their child.

The Children’s Lighthouse has the best field trips and activities to keep my child engaged through the summer.

We've been at Lighthouse for two years
(before/after school and summer program). My daughter and I love all the teachers and staff. They are engaging, hard working and dedicated professionals. They send you updates/pictures on their activities. Summer Program is awesome, they keep the kids busy with their curriculum and field trips.

As of August 28, 2025, my two sons attending this institution are in different age groups. This facility is our first time ever utilizing daycare. We couldn't be happier with our children's growth and socializing. The staff is outstanding and welcoming at the front end. My eldest really appreciates "Miss Gigi" and "Miss Caitlin" and has nothing but wonderful things to say after long days there. They have cameras if you want to check on your kids, and they send emails about what they eat and report minor injuries, which surprised me. There are always events and enjoyable dress-up days to look forward to for the boys.

From the moment we walked through the doors, we were welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. Every single teacher and staff member has treated my child with the kind of love, patience, and attention you hope for. Even teachers from other rooms.

I love the structured curriculum, the fun activities, and the regular updates that keep me involved in what he’s learning and experiencing.

The environment is clean, safe, and I’ve never once questioned if my child was in good hands. If you’re looking for a place where your little one will be truly cared for Children’s Lighthouse – Schertz is it. I’m forever grateful we found them.

My LO loves going to school and is learning on a daily basis! The staff are courteous and really care for the kiddos! Prices are fair and the facility is safe! Love that I can login to check on my LO through thier cameras, too! What a gift to see how the class is running.

I wouldn’t want to take my child any place else, the cameras, the staff, the atmosphere, awesome place to be!

My experience so far has be good

My kids love it here. There were some mishaps here and there but staff was quick with a resolution. They're freaking AWESOME. My favorite thing is the live camera so I can keep an eye on my kids at anytime of the day from drop off to pick up. The teachers are great.

The daycare is very well managed and my toddler is very happy there. Wouldn't think if sending my toddler to a different place.

My baby started in room 2 at 9 months and she instantly was accepted into the “family”. Room 2 teachers are so sweet and great and treated my baby so well! She loves going to school and no longer cries when she gets dropped off. She’s grown so much and has learned a lot and she’s only 14 months old! She just started in room 3 and they are sweet and kind as well! I love getting the pictures throughout the day and being able to check in throughout the day on the camera too. I even call and they always always patch me through to the room teachers and they answer any question I have without sounding impatient. Love this place and highly recommend it. So glad I found it!

We love Children’s Lighthouse Schertz. We have been attending since 2021. The staff is very patient and so kind to my boys and they look forward to going to school every day. I have been so pleased with the growth my boys have shown and love the curriculum. Their teachers always take the time to talk with me and let me know the progress my boys are making and to address any concerns I may have. They keep communication open and I truly appreciate that. I love that they have extra curricular’s that come to the facility like dance, soccer, kiddo kinetic and more. I would highly recommend Children’s Lighthouse to anyone looking for a loving and nurturing place to take their kiddos.

We couldn’t be happier with Children’s Lighthouse in Schertz! We have been taking our 7 month old since she was 9 weeks and we have no complaints. Ms Laura, Ms Irma, and Ms Morgan in the infant room are amazing and our daughter always has a huge smile when she sees them at drop off/ pick up. I cannot speak for the curriculum yet but they do work with the babies on tummy time, sitting, reading them books, words, etc. Admin is always great too every day walking in the door or whenever we need help with something on their side. It’s hard to leave your baby in the care of someone else but we are comfortable leaving ours at Childrens Lighthouse!

Love this day care staff is very welcoming and caring! They really put my mind at peace while I’m at work. Love the fact they have cameras in the classroom I can watch my baby thru the app. The daycare is well kept and clean also love that, also provides meals and snacks throughout the day! They keep you updated throughout the whole day as well with pictures and notifications ie if she gets moved to another classroom when she took a nap etc ! Overall I’m very pleased and happy with this daycare!!!
