Children's Lighthouse of Lake Houston

Children’s Lighthouse definitely put me mind at ease during the pandemic. Their cleaning protocol was impeccable as I had 2 kids in daycare and neither of them caught covid which was my biggest concern. I gave them 4 stars due to the mid-high turnover rate which is standard within daycares but if I could give valuable feedback I’d recommend making the class sizes smaller. As the kids get up in age like 3 years old the classes have gotten rather large. My son’s class has 22 children which can be chaotic at times which lead to diminished learning.

Absolutely the most loving and best daycare! We switched to Childrens Lighthouse after a bad experience with a different daycare and my kids are so happy here! All the staff is amazing! Mrs. Kelly the owner is such a special person and it shows that she truly has a heart of gold and for the kids! God bless you! You are running an amazing daycare!

We have been at children’s lighthouse for over a year. I cannot suggest this place enough. The owner Mrs. Kelly does not skip a beat. She is there every day, she knows every kids name, and she puts out tireless effort to make sure our kids are not only learning but having the most fun doing it. They keep me up to date on his curriculum and have cameras so I can check on him at any point. The staff is so friendly and they all know me and my son by name. I can’t believe how far my son had grown academically and socially. If you are looking for a safe fun and friendly place for your child to go please just stop by for a tour. You’ll be sold!

While searching for the best fit for my childcare needs The Lighthouse stood out due to the personal relationships you saw with each parent, child instructor, and administrator. How happy the children looked while there, the cleanliness of the facility, the education curriculum mixed with play, the ability to offer parents night out quarterly, and the security cameras.

My son aged out and we now do summer camp with them. We miss the staff, his friends, and the environment.

Children’s Lighthouse Lake Houston is truly the best daycare in the Lake Houston/Summerwood area. The love and care our boys receive from the entire staff gives my husband and me complete peace of mind, knowing they are always in safe and nurturing hands.

My baby started at 9 months old and was here for 1 year. Very happy with Ms. Kelly and one of the administrators. They were very nice and tried their best to always be positive and supportive. Super happy with a couple of ladies from room 2 and 3! Back in 2023-2024 can’t remember their names but I can’t never forget their faces and the way they treated by baby. Once they moved her to room 4, I noticed my girl was no longer happy and they had a different caregiver every other day so the consistency was not helpful for her. Another thing that I was not happy with was how many times my baby got home with bites and twice or 3 times she has a bruise. I do understand that it’s common with daycares but I hated that part. Regardless, it was a good experience overall.

We’ve been a part of the CLH-Lake Houston family since 2022. Mrs. Kelly, the owner, greets us every morning with a smile!

"Children's Lighthouse is incredible" is how my PK 4 yr old rates Ms. Kelly's school. The facilities are immaculate, the staff/teachers love their jobs, the class size ratio is low, the tuition is comparable, the food is good, and there are extra perks like field trips, theme days, splash days, and food trucks. I have been pleasantly surprised and am grateful they are letting my daughter enter the Kindergarten program even though she is only 4. I look forward to holiday events like snow days with Santa. Definitely recommend.

This is the best child care you will find in Houston.... and the reason this location is expectacular is due to the dedication Mrs. Kelly has to her institution. Incredible work ethic and dedication to all the children she has year by year.

I would give the Children’s lighthouse of Lake Houston 1000 stars if I could! The owner Ms Kelly really cares about the kids, the families and the staff. My kids started since they were 5 months old and they have had the best teachers, very caring and loving. The school staff is very professional and responsive. It feels like a very safe and happy environment, the curriculum and activities are great, my kids love coming here every morning!

This center has been such a blessing for us and our baby girl. I always speak very highly of the genuine thought and care that is consistently put forth. Thank you!
