Children's Lighthouse of Houston-Lake Houston has been so awesome taking care of my daughter Kayleigh. We have been with them since my daughter was 6 years old and now she is school age. I trust them to get her to and from school and to take care of her after school and days that I have to work when the kids are out of school. I am an educator and take care of other's kids all day and feel so confident without worry to do my job knowing that my daughter is in good hands. All of the staff make a vested effort to know and call all the kids by name and treat them with kindness, always greeting at the door with a smile. It feels good to not just be a number and to be treated with royalty and respect from staff. After being at a neighboring daycare for 7 years, we made the big step to switch to Lighthouse, and the only regret we had was not doing it sooner. The owner, Ms. Kelly, knows every child by name greeting them every morning as they come in. She treats her employees with respect and showers them with extras (massages, lunches, etc), and between her and her two wonderful directors, they hire the most caring and loving teachers with our child’s interest first and foremost. Ms. Kelly is also very involved in our community constantly supporting our local swim team, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, PTO, etc.
Before we moved, my 4 year old was very behind, but after a year at Lighthouse, she was exactly where we wanted her to be to start kindergarten. CANNOT say enough good about this school. We have 2 kids here (room 2 and 7). They love coming here to learn, grow, and play with their friends and are always so happy every day. The staff here aren't just caretakers; they're heart-warriors, showering our kiddo with love and attention.

The peace of mind we've gained is priceless, knowing our daughter is in the safest of hands. And let's talk about the events! This place is event-central, bringing the fun of all seasons to life. Imagine your kiddo making snow angels with snow special delivered in the winter, sprinting through a kaleidoscope of colors in the spring, and bicycle parades and ALL THE KONA ICE! They really take the effort to make the atmosphere vibrant and engaging for both students and parents.

Children’s Lighthouse is definitely a better daycare facility in the area. The facility itself is very clean and I can tell that things are ran properly by the owner, Ms. Kelly. She is awesome and knows al the children by their name!! The teachers are phenomenal in the infant room and I can see that they truly have a passion for what they do. Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Taylor made a feel so comfortable dropping off my little one on his first day. As a previous child care director who ran multiple sites, I appreciate good staff who truly love children. In my opinion, there are a few things I wish could be handled different as far as communication goes when it comes to enrollment, but I do know how hard it is to run a daycare facility. Other than that, I feel pretty safe about leaving my child.

We needed a new before and after care for our daughter beginning of this year, we happen to live close to CHL Lake Houston and we asked for a tour. During the Tour, Ms Danelle was friendly and accomodating to our anxious questions and answered questions with patience and understanding. We were nervous because our daughter already made friends at another facility. On her first day, she was greeted by Ms Kelly (the owner), she wanted to cry at first, but Ms Kelly took her time to warm her up and she did in 30 seconds (or less), and I got to be at work on time that early morning. The next day and days after it is as if she has been there forever. Teacher in room 10 in morning is very friendly as well as the one in room 9. Our daughter has been going here for over a year and we've loved both rooms 1 and 2 so far. This was the first daycare we toured and we fell in love with Lighthouse. All of the staff are so kind and work to get to know the parents. The front desk knows which kid you're there for when you walk in.

The cameras made it easier to be away from our daughter during the day, but the app they use has been phenomenal to get pictures and updates on eating, sleeping, bathroom, and activities. They do so much with the kids, but also give them lots of play time. The activities really seem focused on helping them properly develop. My daughter hated tummy time during my maternity leave but somehow they convinced her to like it.

We cannot say enough great things about Children’s Lighthouse Lake Houston! Ms Raven and Ms Mayra in the infant room are so sweet and attentive to both the babies and parents. It’s such a relief knowing your babies are well cared for. The teachers in the toddler rooms are also amazing - from keeping up with the chaos of toddlers to making sure the parents get a detailed report and pictures throughout the day, they’re on top of it! Amazing place! The owner and management as well as the stuff are very professional, sweet and caring. It’s like home for your child and you. High standards and quality. Strong educational services and various activities such as children musician visits and others.
