Children's Lighthouse Kyle

My daughter has been attending since she was 11 weeks old. She is so loved by the teachers and staff at CLH Kyle. She is always happy to be dropped off and is just as happy when being picked up. She continues to reach her milestones on time, if not early and has incredible social/emotional skills when playing and interacting with new people outside of daycare. We started with lighthouse in march and it has been the best experience. We had a nanny before coming into the daycare world and one of my biggest requirements was that it was a preschool based school rather than day care. When we toured this facility, I felt like all of my concerns were gone and my questions were answered properly. We started in the 3’s class and moved to the 4’s class. We will soon be moving to the 5’s. We have seen our daughter grow so much since being here. She talks so much, has learned to explain exactly what she wants, is learning how to count, learning to recognize shapes and colors and so much more. We really enjoy the personal touch that our teachers at Lighthouse provide. Briana and Therese are wonderful to our daughter and know how to calm her during difficult drop offs. Our experience has been great since we started. We were planning to keep him home before starting elementary but after reading reviews for here we decided to give them a chance. Since starting, we’ve seen his growth and confidence in everything he has learned and I don’t think he would have reached the same level of knowledge had we kept him home. Each class have their learning schedule listed for the week so you know what your child will focus on that week. You do receive video access to your child’s classroom and they are provided food (breakfast, lunch, snacks) depending on how early they start their day. Plus, you get updates throughout the day via an app with what they are doing and it works as an immediate way to connect with your teacher and school staff. The teachers our kids have had so far - Ms. Amanda, Ms. Terry, Ms. G, and Ms. McKayla—are warm, welcoming, fun, and truly amazing with the kids. Our children are always excited to see them, which speaks volumes. The facility is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of engaging activities and thoughtfully organized events. We have been at Children’s Lighthouse for 8 months. They have been really great communicating on how to best support our soon to be 4 yo. They work with us to offer the best environment for our daughter and the teachers. They offer lunch that she eats, and a very clean atmosphere. I like the option of cameras and a chat feature with the teachers and other staff. The only reason I did not place a 5 star, is for 2 reasons. 1. There was a learning curve at the beginning with incident reports and finding the happy place we are now with caring for our daughter. It was very stressful for me during that time frame. However, the team worked to find the great solution we have now. 2. I am a little uncomfortable with the class sizes at times. We've been at Lighthouse Kyle for over a month now, and are so thankful we made the move. The teachers, the office staff, the leaders, etc. - all wonderful, communicative, and have the best interest of our children front of mind. We really appreciate the structure of the classes, lesson plans, the experienced teachers and the day to day consistency. They have also played a huge role in potty training. All the other families with children enrolled have been kind and overall this has been a great experience. So far, it's been a wonderful experience. I really appreciate the staff, especially the ladies up front and our teacher, Mrs. Bree—she's been amazing. Ms. G has been fantastic as well. There has been some turnover in the last couple of months, but I'm hopeful that things will stabilize soon. My child started when they opened in April and it’s been a wonderful experience for us. We love the teachers and the staff.
