The Goddard School

We love the Goddard School, particularly Charia and Maribel in infant 2! We are on kiddo number 2 and very happy.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Goddard School of Alexandria. From the moment we enrolled our children, we have been met with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. The school provides a nurturing and safe environment.

I would especially like to thank Ms. Gabby and Miss Jennifer. They have been absolutely amazing with our children ... patient, loving, and attentive. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing our kids are learning, growing, and feeling so loved and supported in their care.

Thank you, Ms. Gabby, Miss Jennifer, and the entire team at The Goddard School of Alexandria for everything you do. You have made such a positive impact on our children's lives, and we are forever grateful!

Updating my review again as our child continues to grow. We feel incredibly grateful that we have found a childcare center (Goddard Alexandria West) that consistently delivers an exceptional experience for our child. Our child's new teachers, Miss Kassie, Miss Sasha, and Miss Amanda, are outstanding. Each of them ensures our child is safe, well cared for, and happy. Every day when I drop off my child, he smiles and waves at me, because he is excited to play with his friends and learn from his teachers. Miss Kassie, Miss Sasha, and Miss Amanda work so well together as a team to ensure every child in the classroom gets fed, has a smile on their face, and is learning and growing. They do so many different sensory activities, play outside on the playground, story time, and more. Miss Kassie, Miss Sasha, and Miss Amanda also do a great job communicating with parents and ensuring parents...

My daughter has been at Goddard for almost 2 years now and loves it. She's been in 3 classes so far, all have been attentive and warm, she's developed wonderful relationships with her teachers Ms. Kaelyn and Ms. Britney. The staff is very open to communication and responsive to feedback.

Ms. Kae, Ms. Brittany, Ms Maribel, and Ms Charia have been the most wonderful teachers for my children. They are patient, loving, kind, fun, and great at communicating with me as a parent. They have made my children’s transition to daycare so much easier and I never have to worry when my children are in their care.

We joined Goddard about 8 months ago after we had issues with our previous daycare and our kiddo loooves it. She loves her teachers (shout out to Miss Lizett and Miss Shantel!) and the whole staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!

We have had a wonderful experience at the Goddard School over the past two years. The teachers are incredibly caring and attentive. My son learns so much every day from their engaging activities and projects. The staff members are also extremely responsive and helpful. We are very happy with our decision to send our son here and would like to give special recognition to his current teachers Ms. Dezere and Ms. Jennifer who are so patient and wonderful.

I am updating to add how wonderful Ms. Charia, Ms. Mirabel, Ms, Chaimae, and Ms. Valerie are. Our children love coming to school and they are learning so much every day. We cannot thank them enough for their time, energy and compaction for the kids.

My son and daughter both attend Goddard and we're quite happy. We have some really wonderful teachers who are open and kind. My son frequently plays 'daycare' at home and acts out all the teachers, giving hugs and kind words as well as lessons and reminders like "chew then talk". Shoutout to Janelle, Chaimae, Maribel, Charia and especially Miss Valerie!

The school itself is well run and consistent. It's quite the machine. We have often given feedback on things (such as informing us on upcoming lockdown drills so we can communicate with our children) and staff is mostly open to this feedback.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience at Goddard Alexandria (West) over the past few years. Both of our children—now 2 and almost 4—have been attending since they were about 6 months old, and we’ve been consistently impressed by the warmth, compassion, and professionalism of the teachers and staff. It’s clear that everyone here truly cares about the children and takes pride in supporting their development.

We’re incredibly grateful to the many wonderful teachers who have supported our family along the way, including Ms. Maribel, Ms. Charia, Ms. Amanda, Ms. Kassie, Ms. Sasha, Ms. Helen, Ms. Crystal, Ms. Lizett, Ms. Shantel, Ms. Janelle, Ms. Chaimae, Ms. Valerie, Ms. Lindsey, Ms. Santria, and Ms. Keke. Each of them has made a positive impact on our children’s experience, and we’re so thankful for the strong relationships they’ve built with our little ones.

Nothing but a positive experience each and every day. All of the teachers are wonderful and our son gets a huge smile when he sees them. Ms. Charia and Ms. Maribel are communicative and positive and we love scrolling through all of his daily pictures and activities in the app.

Shoutout to Ms. Michelle, Ms. Tina & Ms. Whitney! I feel so lucky to have my daughter be taken care of such genuine women. Truly couldn’t recommended these teachers enough.

We love Goddard! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This has been far the BEST daycare we have been to and we have been to quite a few since we move around so much. The teachers are like family. They treat our kids like their own, even the ones who aren't their classroom teacher! Everyone always says hi and calls my 3 kids by name as we walk down the halls.

Ms. KaeKae and Ms. Brittney have taught my 2 year old so much already and the lessons he learns each day are far above our expectations. They make drop off much easier each day as well. And we can feel that they genuinely care for him.

Ms Charia and Ms Maribel are both so caring and supportive of the children in their class. They take time to nurture each child through song, dance, reading, and hands on activities to teach the kids about their environment. I am thrilled with the care that Goddard provides and I’m confident my child will continue to grow, thrive, and enjoy learning!

From the moment we toured at the Goddard School, though, we knew it was a special place that would be a great fit for her. Between the developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum, to the loving and experienced staff, it just felt right. She’s now been attending the school for almost 8 months, and we couldn’t be happier. She is excited to go to school every morning and disappointed to leave in the afternoons. My 2.5 year old toddler had been there since he was about 7 months, so he has been in several classrooms and gotten to know many of the faculty. Goddard is a warm, welcoming environment staffed by true professionals who love what they do and love the kids. My son learns so much at school every day and runs into school every morning excited to see his friends and teachers.

Big shoutout and thanks to his current teachers, including superstars Lizett and Shantel. Lizett especially teaches him so much every day. He also thrived with Helen, Kassie, Crystal, and Maribel. Absolutely love the curriculum, the daily insight what my son does by the pictures and standards being taught. He is so intelligent at a young age from all the efforts his teachers, Ms. Janelle and Ms. Rana, strive to always do. Another shout out to Ms Shantel too! Awesome location, very grateful and feels safe to leave him everyday!

Both of our sons are currently attending The Goddard School and have developed so well. The teachers Ms Mary, Ms Crystal and Ms Helen provide excellent care and communication. There is never a worry on what they will learn. We do hope to continue on and look forward to what the future holds with Goddard.

We’ve been sending our son to The Goddard School for about four months now, and we absolutely love it! From the very beginning, Ms. Maribel and Ms. Charia have been so kind and attentive—they genuinely care about the kids, and it shows in everything they do. As a first-time mom, I was a bit nervous about leaving my son, but I feel completely at ease knowing he’s in such good hands.

Now that he’s a little older, he’s moved into the First Steps classroom with Ms. Amanda, Ms. LaSasha, and Ms. Kassandra. While it’s only been a short time in this new class, they have already been wonderful. Transitioning to a new classroom at this age can be tough—for both the child and the parents—but they’ve made every effort to help him adjust smoothly.

They’ve also been amazing at sending frequent updates throughout the day, which gives me so much peace of mind. I love that...

My granddaughter is graduating in June completely ready to start kindergarten. I’m so glad my grandson will continue for two more years having a wonderful learning experience in this school.

My son just started at Goddard and it has been such a positive experience. The personalized orientation let us know exactly what to expect and there were no tears (from parents or baby!) on day 1 because the room was so warm and engaging. Ms. Michelle, Ms. Tina, & Ms. Whitney are so caring and attentive with all the kiddos, and organize super interactive activities. We love getting the pictures and details of our son’s day everyday.

We enrolled our daughter to the Goddard School over 6 months ago and we couldn’t be happier! She started in a toddler class and is now in Pre-k1 and teachers in both classes were great! The school plans good curriculum for the children and from time to time plans for special events such as a fall festival, Santa Clause pictures… very nice add-ons. There is a very nice playground just outside the school and an indoor multipurpose room where they go on a daily basis if the weather does not allow to go outside!

In particular, we want to say thank you to our daughter’s Current teachers Ms. Chaimae and Ms. Valerie! They are both so loving to our daughter, they enjoy teaching and create fun learning environment! They are very communicative with parents and they really connect with the kids! We’re very pleased to see our daughter being happy to go to school!

When my daughter first started daycare at 11 months, she really struggled with stranger anxiety and separation distress. Thankfully, Ms. Maribel and Ms. Charia were so patient and understanding, allowing her to adjust at her own pace and slowly build the trust she needed.

As a first-time parent, leaving my little one in the care of strangers was definitely challenging. It was hard to concentrate on work knowing my child was with people I didn't know well. But Ms. Maribel and Ms. Charia offered us so much comfort and reassurance that our baby was in loving, caring hands. I remember feeling pretty nervous when we found out it was time for her to transition into a new class.

Now when I drop my daughter off at her new classroom, it really warms my heart to see her excitedly run to her teachers. Ms. Kassie, Ms. Amanda, and Ms. Sasha are fantastic. My daughter is...

Goddard is an excellent school. My two-year-old daughter has wonderful teachers, and I have complete confidence that she is safe and well-cared for. I want to express my gratitude to Ms. KaeKae and Brittany for their exceptional work. Ms. Crystal and Helen were also fantastic and kind teachers. The facility is clean, modern, and well-lit with ample natural light. Additionally, the school provides frequent updates throughout the day via an app portal, and the communication from the administrators is excellent. I’m not sure what else you could want for your child!

I have been so impressed by the Goddard School and have had a great experience here with our son. We have only been here for a couple of months, but each day we are greeted by name by everyone, from the front desk to the teachers. Ms Michelle in the infant room is outstanding. Her command of infant care and control of the classroom is clear and calming, and gave me a lot of comfort as a new mom in early daycare days!
