The Goddard School

We couldn’t say enough about how amazing our daughter’s teacher, Ms Lizett, has been! We potty trained our daughter a bit on the early side, and she has jumped in with so much confidence and skill and really helped to keep us motivated and positive when we’ve wanted to give it up. The front office is so helpful and diligently works to put the needs of the kids first across the board. We are a little over a year and a half into our time at Goddard and continue to feel like it was the best choice for our girl.

We also are so lucky to have ms Kae to drop off to in the morning. We’re starting to have a hard time saying goodbye at drop off, and Ms Kae steps in and loves our girl so well.

We've been very happy with the Goddard West Alexandria location and our child's PS2 teachers, Ms Lindsey and Ms Jennifer. The transition was seamless and they were very helpful during potty training. Our child is thriving and seems ahead of other children the same age. The admin staff, Ms Andrea, Ms Traleece and Ms Sarah, and owners have always been very helpful and responsive. The daily activities (music, yoga, art, spanish, etc) and outdoor time twice a day are all enjoyed by our active almost four year old. We definitely recommend this school!

4/30/2025 Update: Our daughter is now in the Pre-K 1 class with Ms Gaby and Ms Jennifer at The Goddard School (Alexandria - West) and we still couldn’t be happier! We’ve had such a wonderful experience at Goddard Alexandria (West) over the past few years. Both of our children—now 2 and almost 4—have been attending since they were about 6 months old, and we’ve been consistently impressed by the warmth, compassion, and professionalism of the teachers and staff. It’s clear that everyone here truly cares about the children and takes pride in supporting their development.

My daughter has joined Goddard School Alexandria(West) since she was 13 months and she's been here for one year and half. We had a wonderful experience here! Ms. Kaelyn and Ms. Brittany are great teachers, they are super caring and responsible and nice, taking good care of kids, and my daughter came back home excited to share what she’s learned and talk about her teachers and friends. We’re so thankful to have found such a caring team.

We started at Goddard over 3 months ago and entered our then-15 month old into daycare for the first time. We were nervous and asked a lot of questions! Within two weeks, he was excited to go to school and we could see the great impacts of Goddard's structure and approach to care.

In particular, we have been thrilled to watch him grow and thrive with Ms Amanda, Ms LaSasha, and Ms Cassie. Each teacher has gotten to know our son and shows him personalized support and attention. Their updates, photos, and recommendations have really helped us to settle in, and we know each day that he is getting supportive and attentive care from them. They are wonderful!

The Goddard School of Alexandria West have been an amazing team to work with in providing care and instruction for my little one. My daughter started at Goddard as an infant and has now moved up into the 2 year old toddler classes. Her teachers Ms. Kaelyn and Ms. Brittany have been amazing and find new and interesting ways to keep the kids learning and engaged on a regular basis. I am glad that we are a part of the Goddard family.

I just wanted to say a big THANKS to MS. MARY , MS. GABY, MS. JENNIFER for being such an amazing teacher to my daughter Kendall Graham. Your support and encouragement have helped her grow so much this year — both academically and personally.

We absolutely love this school! From the very beginning, the experience has been amazing. The teachers are all so caring, patient, and organized. Our two boys (ages 2 and 4) have been attending for almost a full school year now, and we couldn't be happier.
The curriculum is well-structured, and the care and attention they give to each child is truly impressive. A special thank you to Ms. Helen, Ms. Crystal, Ms. KaeKae, Ms. Gabby, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Mary, Ms. Shantel, Ms. Lizett, and Ms. Janelle — you have all made such a positive difference in our boys’ lives!
We especially appreciate how smooth and comforting the drop-off process is every morning — the teachers know exactly how to handle the kids, making it easier for both the children and the parents.

Updating my review again as our child continues to grow. We feel incredibly grateful that we have found a childcare center (Goddard Alexandria West) that consistently delivers an exceptional experience for our child. Our child's new teachers, Miss Kassie, Miss Sasha, and Miss Amanda, are outstanding. Each of them ensures our child is safe, well cared for, and happy. Every day when I drop off my child, he smiles and waves at me, because he is excited to play with his friends and learn from his teachers. Miss Kassie, Miss Sasha, and Miss Amanda work so well together as a team to ensure every child in the classroom gets fed, has a smile on their face, and is learning and growing. They do so many different sensory activities, play outside on the playground, story time, and more. Miss Kassie, Miss Sasha, and Miss Amanda also do a great job communicating with parents and ensuring parents...

My daughter has been at Goddard for almost 2 years now and loves it. She's been in 3 classes so far, all have been attentive and warm, she's developed wonderful relationships with her teachers Ms. Kaelyn and Ms. Britney. The staff is very open to communication and responsive to feedback.

Ms. Kae, Ms. Brittany, Ms Maribel, and Ms Charia have been the most wonderful teachers for my children. They are patient, loving, kind, fun, and great at communicating with me as a parent. They have made my children’s transition to daycare so much easier and I never have to worry when my children are in their care.

We joined Goddard about 8 months ago after we had issues with our previous daycare and our kiddo loooves it. She loves her teachers (shout out to Miss Lizett and Miss Shantel!) and the whole staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!

We have had a wonderful experience at the Goddard School over the past two years. The teachers are incredibly caring and attentive. My son learns so much every day from their engaging activities and projects. The staff members are also extremely responsive and helpful. We are very happy with our decision to send our son here and would like to give special recognition to his current teachers Ms. Dezere and Ms. Jennifer who are so patient and wonderful.

I am updating to add how wonderful Ms. Charia, Ms. Mirabel, Ms, Chaimae, and Ms. Valerie are. Our children love coming to school and they are learning so much every day. We cannot thank them enough for their time, energy and compaction for the kids.

My son and daughter both attend Goddard and we're quite happy. We have some really wonderful teachers who are open and kind. My son frequently plays 'daycare' at home and acts out all the teachers, giving hugs and kind words as well as lessons and reminders like "chew then talk". Shoutout to Janelle, Chaimae, Maribel, Charia and especially Miss Valerie!

The school itself is well run and consistent. It's quite the machine. We have often given feedback on things (such as informing us on upcoming lockdown drills so we can communicate with our children) and staff is mostly open to this feedback.

Nothing but a positive experience each and every day. All of the teachers are wonderful and our son gets a huge smile when he sees them. Ms. Charia and Ms. Maribel are communicative and positive and we love scrolling through all of his daily pictures and activities in the app.

Shoutout to Ms. Michelle, Ms. Tina & Ms. Whitney! I feel so lucky to have my daughter be taken care of such genuine women. Truly couldn’t recommended these teachers enough.

We love Goddard! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This has been far the BEST daycare we have been to and we have been to quite a few since we move around so much. The teachers are like family. They treat our kids like their own, even the ones who aren't their classroom teacher! Everyone always says hi and calls my 3 kids by name as we walk down the halls.

Ms. KaeKae and Ms. Brittney have taught my 2 year old so much already and the lessons he learns each day are far above our expectations. They make drop off much easier each day as well. And we can feel that they genuinely care for him.

We could not ask for better teachers for my 4 year old then Ms. Gabby and Ms. Jennifer. They welcome my stubborn to drop off daughter with open arms and never seem to mind that they have to help soothe her when Mom and Dad leave. The curriculum that they teach has well prepared her for...

Ms Charia and Ms Maribel are both so caring and supportive of the children in their class. They take time to nurture each child through song, dance, reading, and hands on activities to teach the kids about their environment. I am thrilled with the care that Goddard provides and I’m confident my child will continue to grow, thrive, and enjoy learning!
