My family has been with The Goddard School for almost a year now, and we absolutely love it. The staff are incredible, very welcoming, and always greet us on our way and out. I am in awe at how they remember everyone’s names, and their kindness. It is not just the excellent care and cleanliness of the facility, but their thoughtfulness in both small and big ways. There are curated events for all ages, celebrations of their teachers, and the daily sticker give away to any and all kids as they head out. We want to give a special shout out to our son’s teachers Ms. Helen and Ms. Crystal who take great care of him. We also want to thank Ms. Kassie, Ms. Lashasha, and Ms. Amanda. Last, special thanks for Ms. Keke who makes sure everyone is fed.

I feel incredibly grateful to have Ms. Mary Bolton as my child’s Pre-K II teacher. From the very first day, she created a warm, nurturing, and joyful environment where my child felt safe, seen, and excited to learn. Her patience, creativity, and genuine love for her students shine through in everything she does—whether it's story time, messy crafts, or teaching the ABCs. My son loves her and talks about her everyday. I am genuinely comfortable having my child in the care of Ms. Mary and I am glad that I chose The Goddard School.

Our journey with The Goddard School began when our son started in the Infant room at just 10 weeks old. From day one, every teacher has been kind, attentive, and truly invested in the well-being of the children. Their support through each transition has been invaluable, always keeping open communication.
Now, nearly three years later, we continue to love our daycare experience. The teachers are incredibly patient, creative, and always coming up with fun activities that keep our little one engaged. Every day after school, he excitedly asks to see “pictures at school” and talks nonstop about his friends and teachers.
A special thank you to all the teachers especially for Ms. Kaelyn and Ms. Brittany, who make each day a learning adventure and have played such an important role in helping our son grow.

We’ve been part of this school for almost four years now, and it’s truly felt like a second home for our family. Our daughter got the best possible start in Pre-K with Ms. Mary. She’s one of those rare teachers who’s not only kind and loving but also genuinely connected to her students. Even now, in kindergarten, our daughter still lights up when she sees her, and Ms. Mary always takes a moment to say hello. That kind of connection doesn’t fade—it shows just how special she is.
With our son now at the school, we’ve felt that same care from so many others. Ms. Lindsey and Ms. Shawntria have been incredibly patient and supportive, especially when he had a tough time settling in. And Ms. Andrea, the school director, has been amazing—she’s built such a warm, understanding space where we always feel seen and supported.

I am absolutely thrilled with the care and education my children receive at The Goddard School Alexandria West! My kids have thrived in their nurturing and stimulating environments.

My oldest child is so happy in their class with Ms. Gabby and Ms. Jennifer. They create such a positive and engaging atmosphere, and my child looks forward to going to school every day.

Goddard has the BEST teachers. My grandson, Matthew Demus, loves Ms Lizette. He picked shells for her during our vacation and she makes his day so special--EVERY day.

Our experience with Goddard has been nothing short of phenomenal. It has been amazing to see our child’s development grow exponentially since the end of the pandemic to now. Thanks to the nurturing environment, staff, and teachers like Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Gabby, we feel so blessed to have an extended family at Goddard Alexandria-West.

May 2025 Update - We feel so incredibly lucky to have Ms. Lizett and Ms. Shantel as our son’s teachers in the Toddler 1 classroom. Our son has had Ms. Lizett for a year, and from the beginning, she created a nurturing, positive, and structured environment that has helped our (now) almost 3-year-old thrive. This includes working hard every hour at ensuring his potty training is successful!

Every day, we’re greeted with genuine smiles and thoughtful updates that show just how well they know and care for our child. It’s clear that both Ms. Lizett and Ms. Shantel are deeply dedicated to each toddler’s growth—not just academically, but emotionally and socially too. We’ve seen tremendous progress in our son’s language, independence, and ability to interact with others, and we credit so much of that to the support and consistency he receives in their classroom.

We entered my son into the Goddard School in January of this year when he was just 5 months old. Any transition is hard but every single teacher and director has made as easy as they possibly could. My son is infatuated with each one of his teachers from every classroom from his very first teachers Ms. Michelle and Ms Sasha, to his Infant 2 teacher Ms Maribel and now over a year later to his toddler classroom with Kassie, Zaida and Helen. He loves waving hi and bye to the directors every morning and afternoon. We love our teachers and we love the amazing things that they’ve taught and shown my son this past year.

Now almost 2 years later my son is still obsessed, I can't tell you how much he talks about his teacher Ms.Lizett, from asking about what she did over the weekend, to trying to buy green shoes just like her and asking if she is going to come to...

My almost 3 year old son attends Goddard and absolutely loves it! Last night he told me “i went on the playground with Ms Lizett" and he proudly brings home his artwork. He loves all the activities Ms Shantel and Ms Lizett do with the kids in Toddler 1, from the artwork to the yoga, to the educational lessons. Ms Lizett has been our son’s teacher for almost a year and she is so loving to him, he has become very attached to her. She always gives me a detailed report when I pick him up. Ms. Lizett and Ms. Shantel teach the kids responsibility and independence; he proudly talks about how he threw out his trash at lunchtime and then proudly brings me his belongings from his cubby at pick-up. Both Shantel and Lizett are so sweet and caring, they love the children as if they are their own!

I would like to take a moment to sincerely appreciate the outstanding team at The Goddard School — especially Ms. Gabby, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Mary, Ms. Lindsey, Ms. Shantel, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Valerie, and Ms. Chaimae. Each of these incredible educators and caregivers plays a vital role in creating a nurturing, safe, and inspiring environment for the children.
Their dedication, patience, and positivity shine through every day. They go above and beyond not just in teaching, but in caring for and truly understanding each child’s individual needs. Their teamwork and compassion make The Goddard School feel like a second home — a place where children are supported, encouraged, and loved.

We feel fortunate to have great teachers like Ms. Janelle, Ms. Rana, Ms. Kaelyn, Ms. Kassandra, and Ms. Maribel watch over and nurture our child. We can feel their teachings immensely when our child is with us at home. We appreciate all their hard work.

Ms Lizett is the best! She’s been a game changer for our daughter.

This is our first year at Goddard and we absolutely love it. From the moment we walked in the door for our first tour it felt like home, so warm and welcoming. As an educator it felt like a place I would teach at. My son is loving his class and even more his teachers (Ms. Lindsey & Ms. Shawntria). Special shoutout to Casper (his favorite lunch buddy)! His teachers make the lessons so enjoyable and memorable for my son that I get the full break down on everything they learn the entire ride home. Goddard has been such a great 1st school experience and we are so pleased we made this choice.

We have two kids at The Goddard School and we’ve been so happy with all the amazing, caring teachers! Our youngest started in Michelle’s room, and while our 6 month old didn’t like many people she immediately connected to Michelle. She then moved to Maribel and Charia’s class and they helped her transition from a bottle, drop a nap, and move from the crib to a cot with ease! Now her current teachers Cassie, Sasha, and Marleny are so kind! They provide us with the best feedback and details of her day as she is growing and learning to walk.

Our son just started in his new class with Rana and Janelle! He’s really enjoying it and they have been so helpful in the transition! Lizett and Shantel were his first teachers who we love so much and hope our youngest also gets to be in the class!

Our daughter and son have been at The Goddard School of Alexandria (west) since they turned 2 (now 3 and 5). They have had an amazing experience and enjoy the time they spend there! Special thank you to Ms. Janelle, Ms. Rana, Ms. Mary and Ms. Sheila for all you have taught our children. The admin and support staff are very organized and "on their game." Highly recommend.

We are beyond grateful for the incredible care, love, and learning our 4-year-old daughter receives at The Goddard School, especially thanks to her two amazing teachers, Miss Gabby and Miss Jennifer!

From the very first day, these two have teachers created a classroom filled with joy, kindness, and lots of giggles. They are so patient, loving, and silly in the best way—they make learning feel like play! Our daughter talks about them all the time and absolutely lights up when she sees them.

Miss Gabby and Miss Jennifer make each day fun and exciting with creative experiments, playful lessons, and hands-on activities. The curriculum is perfect for little minds—our daughter is always learning something new, whether it’s through science fun, music, or storytime. We have seen our little one blossom with the other infants and with the loving care of the Infant I classroom teachers Ms. Michelle, Ms. Tina, and Ms. Whitney. Our little one gets excited every time we enter the classroom, which speaks volumes for an infant. We also appreciate the friendliness of the staff, who know us and our baby by name and always greet us with smiles and hellos. We were so nervous to enter our little one into daycare, but we couldn't be happier. We highly recommend the Goddard School.

In the spring of 2024, I received a late-night email from my daughter's school announcing they were closing immediately. Having just relocated to the DMV area and only recently enrolled at that school, we were left in an incredibly stressful situation without warning. The next morning, I began calling schools on my shortlist—most of which had no openings when I first researched them. One of those schools was The Goddard School - Alexandria West.

I spoke with Ms. Traleece, who kindly invited me to visit the school that same day. When I arrived, I met Mr. Rahul Jain, the owner. He listened to our situation with genuine care and promised to find a way to help us—and he did just that. He graciously offered a temporary rotational spot for my daughter and, one month later, extended a permanent spot in the school.

My daughter is in the Toddler 2 classroom and she loves it at Goddard. Her teachers Ms. Kaelyn and Ms Brittany adore her and provide wonderful instruction and guidance as she’s navigating her growth. I truly appreciate the care that the teachers have for my little one.

I cannot recommend the Goddard School enough! We have been with the school for two and a half years and have loved each classroom we have been in. A special shout out to Ms. Lizett for helping get our daughter potty trained at two years old!

Wrote a review 5 months ago and now that just my 3yr old daughter is still at Goddard while her older brother is at another school, I would like to update this google review to say she continues to thrive at Goddard with the same teacher, Ms Shantelle. Ms Shantelle is loving and caring and continues to allow my daughter to grow, learning her numbers and letters. Thanks Ms Shantelle!

The school has top-notch teachers who care and guide my children’s learning. I have had one son and a younger daughter both attend since 2022. My daughter goes to pre-kindergarten in the fall with her brother in 1st grade so I want to especially thank Ms Shantelle for her stellar care for her over the years.

My son has been at the Goddard for 2 years now. He had the pleasure of having Ms. Shantel and Ms. Lindsey. Both teachers are very friendly, welcoming and caters to my child and others.
