The Goddard School

I have been sending my son to the Goddard School for 8 months now and could not be happier with the level of care and attention they provide. He has been in the infant classroom with Ms. Maribel and Ms. Masooda and now is in first steps with Ms. Crystal, Ms. Talaya, and Ms. Kassandra. All of his teachers go above and beyond. They send us pictures throughout the day, give us a daily report, and plan fun and engaging activities for the children. I love pulling up each afternoon and seeing my son smiling and laughing with his friends. Sending our son to Goddard School has been a wonderful experience.

My husband said to me the other day: The Goddard School has been the best money investment so far in his life: our 22 months old son is in the young toddler class and really feels at home there. Adjustment time was minimal, thanks to the teachers (Ms. Ebony and Ms. Tonika), who constantly show great care, attention and bring comfort to the kids. We always have small chats at the end of the day to discuss the progress, things to work on and how the day went in general, and this is in addition to the daily report that we receive on our child. The owner, the front office, the staff - they know each kid by name, which is amazing! They have a great curriculum and keep kids busy exploring, learning, playing.. Communication with parents is transparent, regular and open. They arrange parent-teacher conferences, parties for kids, spirit weeks, and give them presents (Easter basket was full of...

So many great things to love about Goddard! Wanted to give a special shout out to Ms. Deborah during teachers appreciation week. She is so patient and kind with my fiery little toddler. Very thankful to have her as our teacher. ☺️

We have been sending out son to the Goddard School of Alexandria after switching from another local daycare. He’s in the young toddler class and we couldn’t be happier. Appreciate the care and love his teachers (Ms. Ebony and Ms. Tonika) and the entire daycare shows him.

The school has been absolutely amazing for our LO. She loves going here everyday. The teachers, staff and facility are all excellent. The premises are kept clean and well maintained at all times. The curriculum is engaging. The management is very involved and constantly looking at going from strength to strength.
Their summer activities and spirit week themes are creative and makes this a truly fun place for kids with a lot of great learning.
I am thankful that the school opened at this location when it did. It is exactly what we were looking for.

UPDATE MAY 2025: my younger son still attends Goddard and absolutely loves it! Last night he told me “i went on the playground with ms lizett”… he loves all the activities Ms Shantel and Ms Lizett do with the kids in Toddler 1, from the artwork to the yoga, to the educational lessons. Ms Lizett has been out son’s teacher for almost a year and she is so loving to him, he has become very attached to her. She always gives me a detailed report when i pick him up. Both Shantel and Lizett are so sweet and caring, they love the children as if they are their own!

UPDATE MARCH 15 2024: My family has been with goddard for over 3 years and my sons (age 4 in June; age 2 in July) are absolutely thriving at Goddard! Where do I start?! My son has not been attending Goddard for very long but so far we are in awe of the school. The front desk staff are extremely welcoming and friendly each and everyday. My favorite part is everyone calling my son by his name, it feels very personable. My son’s teachers are an absolute delight. My son seems well adjusted and enjoying his time. He’s excited to go and his speech has improved since attending. The curriculum seems impressive and is implemented throughout the day. We’ve been with this location since it’s opening and have seen the growth and quality of care only flourish. Staff is highly communicative and sensitive to our family’s desires for our child. They’ve worked to accommodate our child’s needs to help him grow academically and socially alongside peers.

We truly love the Goddard School. Our two young kids have been here over a year and are learning so much and becoming happy little kids. The teachers are so friendly and the staff is so helpful. The owners are responsive and go out of their way to make the school feel like family (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, seasonal events). The kids events are also great with toddler yoga, music classes, ASL and Spanish language in the curriculum. And really cool activities for the STEM summer camp!

We love the Goddard school! The staff and teachers are wonderful and care so much about our kids. We can see how much our kids are learning and getting exposed to new and different activities. The school is having a positive impact on our 2 and 4 year olds growth and happiness!

I happened to be reading the reviews of this school in Alexandria and I was shocked by one very negative review by a parent who had a child there. Of course they certainly have every right to be angry if they feel they were mistreated, but some of the things they said were just so negative I felt compelled to write about our experiences with The Goddard Schools.

My two children go to school happy and come home happy. They are cared for so well by the wonderful teachers and staff at the school. As a mother who has had her children at two other daycares, this is by far the best! Wonderful place!

We love Goddard school. The best decision we made as a family. The teachers were so friendly and loved the kids like their own. My son always came home talking about his teach all day. I love the fact that we always got updated about daily activities with pictures and videos. They really helped my son with fine motor skills and gross motor skills. I appreciate all the effort they put in our kids. I will always give them 10 stars ⭐️

The educators are wonderful and have a great curriculum. Also, the COVID19 protocols have worked very well during the Omicron wave.

I am not much of a review writer but after reading the first review for the Goddard school (Alexandria, VA), I was compelled to write. Our experience has been a complete 180 degrees from the previous (first) review. Both my kids ages 2 and 4 now have been in this school since Feb 2021, so celebrating our 1 year anniversary with the school. The teachers are amazing and really care for the kids, both have been promoted to the next level classes now so they have had the experience learning from multiple teachers - Big thanks to Ms. Dana, Ms. Peace, Ms. Ronnique, Ms. Rasheeda, Ms. Kathleen, Ms. Gabby and others.
