Our daughter is thriving at Bright Start. She loves her teachers and is excited to go each morning. I love that she gets a wide variety of healthy, nutritious foods each day that are freshly prepared onsite. I know she's kept safe and feels loved by her teachers and all of the Bright Start staff. They have really thought of everything I could possibly want from a childcare center - from serving healthy, fresh meals to providing diapers, lots of outside play time, music, and fun, engaging lesson plans - all in a warm, family environment. I highly recommend Bright Start to other DC families!

We have been sending our daughter to Bright Start for almost two years, and we just started sending our new baby. In the time our daughter has been there, we have been so happy to see her build connections with other children, spend time outdoors, learn about music, dance and art, and eat healthy and dynamic cuisines. With all the positive progress she's made at Bright Start, the decision to send our new baby there too was very easy. It's a loving and warm community.

And it is so convenient not having to worry about packing food or bringing supplies (diapers, wipes, etc.). We couldn't be happier.

Our daughter began attending Bright Start at 18 months old and she is now four. We are so fortunate that she was able to spend these formative years in this positive and loving environment. The teachers and staff are caring, thoughtful, and passionate about nurturing children’s emotional, social, and educational development. Our 2 year old daughter has been going to Bright Start for 2 months and she absolutely loves it. Her teachers are very loving and attentive and she has made some wonderful friends. She particularly enjoys the Zumbini classes. Bright Start takes great precautions against COVID and does an excellent job of communicating with the parents. Watching our child thrive and seeing how excited she is to go to daycare every morning makes it worth every penny!

We began sending our now 3 year old son to Bright Start when he was 7 months old and are so grateful that we found such a loving environment and well run daycare for his first school experience. He has learned so much in his time there from songs to dance to the art work that he brings home. He loves the nutritious meals that are prepared on-site and speaks fondly of his teachers. We are extremely appreciative of all the extra communication and precautions that the staff thoughtfully executed during the pandemic. They have been wonderfully responsive in seeking parent feedback with all of their new measures.

Bright Start Early Care and Pre school has been wonderful. My son has attended since he was two years old and he is now 4 years old. It was difficult for me as a mom to leave him and trust a School with him. But the staff at this school helped me feel very comfortable and confident. They have taught my son so many things and have cared for him with a lot of attention and love. My son loves the kids and his teachers. They have a great place. It is clean and safe. I noticed the school takes the necessary safety and health measures to keep the kids healthy. They regularly disinfect their environment.
I am so happy with the staff and the director, Marcia. She is a very intelligent, caring and a great leader! Mr. Liberty is extraordinary, very helpful, caring and understanding. I recommend this school to all families! They care for your children, they keep them safe, they challenge...

There’s a lot we can say about our experience but words aren’t quite adequate....EVERYTHING about Bright Start earns an A from us. Our son started as an infant and was in their care until preK. He learned to walk, go potty, eat with utensils and socialize all the way up to learning colors, counting to 20 and writing his first name with proficiency. He even learned a little French! We never worried about his safety and we knew he was cared for as well as taught in a loving environment that felt like an in-home center.
Even his diet was amazing, with healthy meals prepared daily ....he’s partially vegan to this day and LOVES veggies because of what they ate at Bright Start. It’s clear that Marcia as owner is not only a trained nurse but a mom and she has an amazing team working with her! Our son was ready for Kindergarten and happy, and that’s all we hoped for. We we’re beyond...

Our son absolutely loved his time at Bright Start. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, the teachers genuinely care and it was a place he was excited to attend every morning.

My wife and I have been taking our son to Bright Start since September 2018 and have had nothing but positive experiences. Since reopening in June, Bright Start has instituted rigorous health and safety and disinfecting measures to help keep kids safe while still providing an enriching environment for him to learn and have fun. Wonderful place! The teachers really care about the kids. The food is cooked on site and is high quality (lots of vegetables and a variety of types). There's a private, fenced in, outdoor play area which the kids love. Each classroom does a great job of getting the kids on an age-appropriate daily schedule, and transition between classrooms is done thoughtfully and slowly. Each day there are fun lesson plans and art projects. And the kids get to learn some Spanish too! The facility is clean, organized, bright and happy. Highly recommend to anyone.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Bright Start. It is a very loving and welcoming community, and our child is very happy. As parents, we value the safe environment, as well as the plethora of enrichment programs and opportunities for our child to explore and grow each day.
